Shame, I was contemplating one at £75, would definitely have picked one up at £50 smile

Either way, let us know how you get along with it smile

Got one for a relative. The wifi is well unreliable and the speaker is useless if your thinking of using it for streaming video.

I just got one, too.

It really would be rude not to. I wonder what they're clearing shelf space for?

I think I'll use mine as a display for some of the data logging stuff in my house. Or I'll try to get android onto it...

That's OK because I will be
a) Using headphones. Yes I have heard about the problems with some headphone sockets.
b) Playing movies from a 64gb card :-)

Hang on a minute, it's 'full fat' Windows! Well "Windows 8.1 with Bing" anyway.

Bonus! Maybe I'll stick foobar on it and use it as a music source in the garage...

I had one and sent it back. It ran Windows really well and I was impressed, but the headphone socket buzzed constantly so it was useless for watching Videos.

As I mentioned in another thread, if a good Windows 7" - 8" tablet for £150 ish came up I would happily buy one.

Seem to be a lot of issues around the headphone socket.

For £50 though, I'm wondering whether to just take the plunge. Do you have to use the office 365 subscription with this device or do you just get a licence key you can use on any?

I'll be using it for writing I would guess. Much more portable than a laptop.

Couldn't resist, so bought one. Will use it with the Hexacopter for setting up the GoPro & the flight controller.

Can't speak for the 7" or 8" versions, but I am very impressed so far by the Linx 10" which is around £160

I bought one too and it's useless. Windows 8.1 on a tablet is not a good experience if you have come from IOS or Android. There just aren't enough applications for commonly used applications, such as YouTube, Gmail, SkyGo and a host of other that I use all the time.

I immediately reverted back to Nexus 7, which just works...
