For sale with a dealer for £17k, or are you looking for the previous owner?

Found it now cheers, although my original search for vauxhall 5.0ltr + didn't pick it up.....

Looks clean, I'd have been very tempted back when I was looking if there's negotiation on price smile

It is one of those cars that I always hoped to own one day, but I have read quite a few horror stories about badly converted cars. What is thought about the particular s/c conversion on this one? Anyone like to offer an opinion as to a reasonable value(difficult I know without seeing it).

The TVS solution is tried and tested, and offered as a package by Monkfish. Walkinshaws have their own package with a different blower.
Both, as well as other installers have fitted plenty of these, for the conversion not to be problematic. I see it also has dynos, so hopefully the fuelling has also been checked, as a tired fuel pump can see the engines running lean at the top end (even in good shape the pump will be flat out at high revs). The clutch may have also been upgraded, if not you should factor this in.

Check for accident damage, and rust underneath (as the Aussies don't seem to have much of a need for corrosion resistance) - the chassis rails, where they dip down from the engine bay to under the floor pan is a common place, if there's going to be a problem.

A quality Monaro VXR with similar mileage would be in the £12-14k bracket (IMHO), and you've also got a £7k supercharger package added. Whilst most mods don't add value, the supercharger can add £4-5k to the price of a Monaro or VXR8. Is a 9 year old car worth this? Only you know your answer to that. Others have sold for similar in the past, so maybe.....

I`m half tuned into it myself.
Looks nice but pictures can be deceiving. Even a total dog can look like a minter. In saying that if the previous owner had it for 6 years so I`m guessing it will have been looked after, well at least prior to sale/trade. Speaking to the last would make or break the deal for me. The dealer cannot be trusted and will sale anything to secure a sale. Things is, it might all be true.
