Hi all,
I'm interested in getting my Exeo remapped. Probably with Revo but open to suggestions on that.

It would be good to hear from others who have had their CR170 Tdi remapped and what you are experiencing in terms of increased performance and whether you have any DPF issues (I have had none so far).

Any regrets?

I've driven a fair few CR170 cars and work for a Revo agent.

Stage 1 software on most of these is pretty good fun; the larger and/or quattro cars (A4/5/Q5/Passat) really need the added oomph. The 170 on its own is just about OK but never really feel like they want to get up and go. With the map on they feel a bit less heavy and a little more energetic.

In small cars like an A3 or Leon the CR170 goes fairly well as standard but with a map they're downright lively. They actually pull quite well low down but because you've got so much more mid-range it doesn't feel like you get the full slug of torque until you're at higher RPM. In reality you've got more power everywhere, see here:

They make standard torque at much the same time the standard car does (~2k) but then keep on going. On decent quality fuel most people see over 200 PS. Not heard any DPF complaints on these.

You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Have also looked at getting my A4 done its 136bhp, celtic remap reckon over 200 bhp but this seems a lot! Another tuner told me he wouldn't take it over 175bhp as the clutch would slip. I'm a little concerned about reliability and the dpf that I also haven't had any issues with. I'm interested in any opinions.

Cheers Dr G, my mind is made up.

I had a Leon with this engine prior and could do with extra oomph to match it!

Edit - you say you work for a Revo agent and you're not far from me - do you guys partake in the Revo sale seasons?

had 3 cars with the CR170 engine, and remapped 2 of them, 1 from new, transforms the engine, revs easier, better fuel(sometimes haha) and not had any DPF issues.
Do it you know you want too!biggrin

CR170 doesn't suffer from DPF issues like the PD170 did.

They're as good as gold; no concern at all.
