A mild concentration lapse caused the wife to clout the back bumper of an i10 at a roundabout in her RRS.

Just hard enough to crack the front number plate on the Rangie. Estimate for i10 is £1500 from 'approved repairer'.

No doubt they're just going to replace everything. Yeesh!

With the size difference I doubt it was bumper to bumper though, more like bumper to tailgate.

All very fair pointssmile

I've done my best to say nothing other than nod sagely as we all know that if discussed in too greater detail, it will transpire to be my fault irrespective of the fact I was 50 miles away at the time!

This is the same lady who peeled the side off a UPS panel van with her last Discovery so she's got previous!

No offence fella but it amazes me the number of people not just woman who are clueless when it comes to negotiating a large vehicle. you are very patient. I wouldn't allow her to use such a car if she wrecked it regularly.

Don't forget £300 of that £1500 goes straight to the Government wink

£1,500 is quite reasonably when you factor in Labour, parts, paint, repairers lunch hehe

what is it with women and discoverys... my missus reversed her v8i into the back of a chimaera

MY FKING CHIMAERA

and it wasnt even deliberate lol

and yes ive never said a word to her over it, as it will also transpire to be my fault. although the fact i said nothing and refused to talk about it also managed to wind her up....

i10's must be expensive as the repair to the chim was 1500 by tvr central, where she pushed the tow hitch of the disco into the boot !!!

Somebody ran into the back of my late father-in-laws car (Nissan Primera) when wife was driving. Looked like just minor damage to bumper but cost of repairs came to over £2000 with bulk being paintwork and labour. The actual bumper cost was a pittance by comparison !
