Xpel paint film - who's the installation 'Daddy'??
Discussion
Hi - Have used a few different brands of film with various chaps applying. IMO and I guess general consensus being that the self healing Xpel is
currently the superior product, my question relates to the 'slapping it on' bit...
Suppose like all skilled work there is going to be different levels one can hope to expect... Over the last few years I've seen the good, bad and dam right aero bubble bad!!
I'm central based and am looking for the BEST. Not the friendliest, not the cheapest (but always nice) not the closest, just the best at doing the job..
I don't want misaligned bits, edge lift a week later, stretch and heat marks, dirt, fag ash, lunch break crumbs or pubic hairs staring up at me...
Pricing seems to vary massively too - quoted between 2.5k and 5k for the same full car coverage using the exact same product ?!?! I have seen and experienced top price paid for barely mediocre finish achieved so afraid the old adage 'you get what you pay for' aint stacking up here.. Have recently chatted to a few companies who all now use the same product so guess its all down to the installation and the price - As mentioned the price quoted can often bare little resemblance . Looking for the best of both worlds - a top job without paying through the nose!
Any thoughts, recommendations or suggestions greatly received - Thanks

Have used Paintshield before and the quality was excellent, they have a lot of repeat customers with serious metal and have been doing the job a long time. Would probably use Topaz now though as the bloke at Paintshield is a grumpy bugger and from what I understand Topaz are using the same product and more convenient location to me.

My 458 Spider, 981 Boxster S and 997.2 GT3RS all have paintshield. The two Porsches have Xpel and the Fez has the current film they use. The Boxster S has had it on for just over 2 years, the Ferrari for 1 year and the 997.2 since new in 2010.
The Boxster S and 458 have been round Europe and are still like new.
I wouldn't let anyone other than Paintshield near my cars to fit film. Ever. The product is spot on and their customer service is second to none. If there is ever an issue, they're on it straight away.
Tom isn't grumpy, he's err, got personality. ;-)

My car has been fully covered by PaintShield, I unreservedly recommend them to anyone, they did a great job.
Have used them in the past.. Ref my earlier comment - exact same film product pre cut kits installed for near half the price by some competitors..Could it be that the end job is likely to be half as good ???????????????????????????
