So having just lost out on Oli's nice Reflex Charcoal Sag as I couldn't make it out to Germany in time, I thought i might as well just put the feelers out here if anyone is thinking of selling their Sag then I may be in the market.
It's all a bit complex as I already have a mk2 Tuscan that i had intended to keep but if the right Sag came along then I could possible move over to the dark side.

Feel free to pm me rather than reply on here if you'd rather but it'd be good to know if anyone is thinking of selling. Preferably in reflex charcoal or other darker colour, or if lighter, then spectraflair but i'm open to consider anything really.

If its dark you are after, whats wrong with the black one at Racing Green? Seems good value for a low miler

Good value is subjective. Oli's car was great value/good value imo. This Sag has been sitting there for a while, so I guess if it's good value it wouldn't have been? I've seen the car and it looks pretty good tbh. Anything over 50k makes me cringe, otherwise there would be a black Gallardo in my garage lol

Totally agree with Steve (though not seen the RG car), Ollis was fantastic value and like him anything over 50k would have me into Lambo territory as well smile

Other low milers are priced closer to £60k hence my subjective comment of SEEMS good value which appears to backed up by your comments on its condition. The agreed value for mine - which has similar miles to the RG black one - is £55k and that was "signed off" by a TVR specialist.

I'd much rather have my Sag in my garage than a Gallardo!

I'd also rather be driving my Sag having people shout "look at that car!" rather than getting the 'coffee bean' shake driving a Lambo smile

Yes, Lambos never did it for me. Would rather have the Sag for sheer insanity of looks.

I think the Lambo is a great car. In your face looks, very shouty, lary colours.

With all the electric seat motors, bottom heaters, driver aids and the practicality of a mass produced, unlimited production Germanic car it is the obvious go to car when you get too old and frail to cope with a TVR. wink

Or, if you're really old there also the option of an Aston?

Takes all sorts smile
I love the sag and am gutted I was just that bit too slow for Ollis but for me 50k is the limit. Anything more, especially approaching the 60k tag and I'm into the Gallardo and it's just in another league as far as I'm concerned.

I'm in a similar position to zippee in that too far north of 50k and it just makes no sense when I have a 4.3 Tuscan sitting here already, the price walk is already a bit of a stretch but I guess I could potentially put my 4.3 into the Sag, and then sell the Tuscan with a 4.0.

I've driven a V8 vantage and in all honesty it was one of the most disappointing drives I've ever had. Yes it sounded nice and looks ok but felt like a boring Eurobox inside.

Lambo... Yep would be on my list but again the interior of the older ones which would be closer to 50/60k just doesn't hit the spot, plus the running costs have even more potential to be a pit than the sag/Tuscan.

Without commenting on the ones for sale at the moment, I'm hoping to find a private sale car rather than pay the high dealer premiums. I've seen the ones at RG and they're not for me.

I contemplated a Gallardo myself last winter, then a mate tells me new front discs cost in the region of £3k yikes when sag ones can be had for £500 tops, a no brainer, they may be priced north of £50k but think of the maintenance costs in the long run.

Why not ask a few of the smaller specialist if they know someone selling or ask a few owners at Burghley if they would sell? Worth a try. £50-late £55k for a really well sorted one IMO. £60k+ and you are in another bracket.

PM Alpinestars on here.

Has an immaculate, low mileage Spectralflair silver Sag that he was considering selling. Car looks great although I didn't drive it.

I'm not linked to him in anyway. And you'd be mad to buy the RG car at that price.

In my personal opinion... sags will go one way in value over time.
That's not why I brought one personally... It's because They are EPIC in every way.... And I love them!
Any car is worth what someone will pay for it... Simple.
When you find one you like... You will buy it.
Good luck with search.

P.S.... 60k won't get you a Lamborghini worth having!..... Again all in my opinion.
The Hurracan however..... I'd sell my left kidney for that 😜

Nail on the head. Last year I test drove a £70k Gallardo and drove home in the Sag with a bigger smile on my face so that put that one to bed.
