Hello everyone!

EDIT

Another Year OVER! (Already?!) Thank you to each and everyone of you made it along to an Event in 2015. I hope you enjoyed what you attended and making PHEA what it is smile Hopefully see you in 2016!

With April right around the corner, now would be a good time to Launch the PHEA Calendar 2015!party

With a couple of 2015 Events already under our belt, I have put together an (almost) full list of Events, which hopefully offers something for everyone.

There is the usual mix of firm favourites, with a couple of extras thrown in for good measure.
You'll notice there is the odd "TBA" Event, which will be filled in once everything is confirmed.

FULL DETAILS for each Event will be posted a couple of weeks before that Event is due to occur.

As well as posting information in the East Anglian PistonHeads Forum, I will continuing sending out my emails and posting Events on our Facebook Page, too.
If there is something you like the look of now, then you can of course let me know earlier on this thread or by contacting me via my profile/email.

Facebook Note:
I have noticed for a couple of Events on Facebook that many users have clicked "Join" for an Event, yet a fraction have actually attended. Some people cross post, which is absolutely fine.
For those who prefer to only use our Facebook Page, if you click to "Join" an Event I please ask that you message me or post on that Event Page to let me know you'd like to attend that Event with us.
Until contact/posting has occurred, then I am sorry to say I cannot include you in my attendees list.
I am sure you all understand it will make Event planning much simpler! Thank you.

If there is any other Event you know of which may be of interest to PHEA Members, then please get in touch.
While this is the Official Calendar, it's not the "be all and end all" of everything we do.
Occasionally members will have ideas and we can attempt to accommodate these suitable Events, subject to date constraints.
Please don't hesitate to contact me smile

1st March RUN Winter Run

While all vehicles are welcome to Meets & Runs, I am often asked by PHEA members if their car is "suitable" for a Show.

PistonHeads East Anglia is all about the variety of cars and their owners. Anything fast, rare, expensive, classic or unusual is always welcome.
If you are unsure, I would simply ask yourself if you would be happy to see your car as a paying member of the public smile
If you are still unsure, I can always check with the Show organiser thumbup

Finally, if you have an email address update, then please get in touch; should that be removal of an old address, informing me of a new one, or if you would like to be added to my Mailing List.

I think that about covers it for now.
I'll update the "TBA" entries as and when I have the confirmation smile

Hopefully see you all soon at one of our Events.

Darren

***SNETTERTON SUMMER WEDNESDAYS DETAILS***

Afternoon all!

As I mentioned, I have added the Snetteton Summer Wednesdays Meets to the official PHEA Calendar 2015 following the great news that our very own "fasteddys" is the man behind them for 2015.
A few members attended these Meets last year and after hearing positive feedback, we have decided to add them to this year's Calendar.

THE DETAILS:
These Meets are held once a month on a Wednesday evening from April until September.
They are basically an opportunity for petrolhead individuals and clubs to get together, creating a large car show. There will be track time available, too!

Each Meet will begin around 6pm and end at 9-10pm, dependant on light and weather.
Fasteddys will arrange for our own Club area at each Meet, so we're guaranteed a good size plot.
The most likely place for the PHEA Area will be over the bridge on the right hand side. However, simply look out for Fasteddys branded truck and the PHEA Banner. We'll meet at the venue.

Entry is FREE for viewing public, but obviously track time will incur costs.
Track time is also subject to usual track day necessities: long leg & sleeve clothing, helmets, signing on, safety briefing and noise testing.

Tyrells Cafe will be open for business.
Movement on site is permitted, so you are free to arrive and leave whenever you wish, but please adhere to the site speed limits and watch for pedestrians.

The Dates:
15th April
20th May
24th June
15th July (Immediately after the PHEA Snetterton Track Day)
19th August
16th September

Further Details of these Events can be found the Summer Wednesdays Facebook Page HERE and the MSV Website HERE

As ever, I will post a fresh Thread Event nearer the time. The First Meet's Details are HERE
If you don't wish to wait until my offcial posting, you can always inform me sooner if you'd like to come along!

So please Join us for these Brand New PHEA Events for 2015 thumbup
From here on in, I will abbreviate Snetterton Summer Wednesdays to "SSW".

We look forward to seeing you.

Unfortunately the preliminary dates I mentioned to you and couple of others didn't work out.

Sorry you can't make it, Sam. Although a Winter Run will be planned for next year, so not long to wait wink

That gives me a couple of weeks to sort out a new clutch (broke it last weekend resulting in a flatbed recovery) and fit it .... Should just be doable!

Not sure what clutch you had in, but you need something uprated of course as you have twice the weight of a bike. If you don't know him already take some advise from Andy at AB Performance

Yeah I know Andy I go to him for all my advice on the car. Top Bloke. He's selling up now though.

I've already got an uprated Barnett clutch conversion and also replaced the half clutch plate with a full clutch plate to give the clutch more bite to stop it slipping. Something I read on a bike forum that the racers and drag bikers do.

This will be my 5th clutch in 3years. I've added it to the list of consumables for the car, bit like petrol and tyres! ... Probably down to the way I drive it!!

I know it's a little early, but I am excited to say our Christmas Dinner will be on Sunday 13th December. I can now inform you all that we shall be returning to (PHEA member-owned) The Angel pub in Woodbridge.
Regular diners at Woodbridge will know that I come along with a
box of car care goodies instead of Xmas cards. This year I have
been able to cadge some pretty special samples...

There are 12 bottles of Nano Gloss Paint sealant, which can be
diluted at 5:1 for an excellent cleaner / quick detailer.

There's 6 bottles of H2O-S - a water based sealant / coating that's
so easy to apply you'll barely believe it. There's enough in the
bottle for 2 coats on a big car or 3 on a small one. Each coat will
last around 6 weeks.

Both of the above are ahead of UK launch!

The best is 6 sample pots of ArtDeKotsos Obsidian Wax. Although
it's a small pot, there's enough wax to provide around 8 months
of protection on a large car, or 12 months on a small one. This
is the epitome of "less is more" products, indeed this wax is so
vastly different to any that I've used before that I was inspired
to write an application guide. Yeah, an application guide for a
car wax?

So, 1 reserved for our host, then the first 23 to arrive...

Regards,
Steve
