Blimey £30 plus £10 postage! ( a courier firm will do it for much less, I posted a special 2.9 Turbo sump last year).
At that price I will have to strip my spare engine, it is worth more in bits! Seriously though, you may have noticed how the cost of secondhand* parts for the 2.8/2.9 appears to be steadily rising.

(*somehow the alternative term 'preloved' just wouldn't be right for a battered old sump, would it!)

Keeping the purchase price down and increasing the postage cost saves you on Final Value Fees. One of the oldest eBay tricks! That's why they try to push you into using the Free Postage option and automatically give you a 5star rating if you do. The FVF are a percentage of the sale price, excluding postage. Cheeky feckers.

I try and avoid selling through Ebay if I can - far too expensive.

I'm possibly going to do some more glassware - watch the classifieds coming soon :-)

You're paying for the advertising though, not just the actual sale of the item. In other words, you're likely to get more exposure on there what with your item popping up at the top of Google etc.

Guess it depends what you sell, but if it's something you've made a run of, and supply outweighs demand initially, eBay does work well.
