There are lot's of poeple on here in the motor trade so just thought I would help with a warning.

Car dealers are being left call back messages and the call back number being given is a Personal Number. The one I've seen on a clients bill is and is also documented on scam websites:
07023860133 - 86p/min and scammer will keep teh caller on the phone as long as possible. My client's longest individual call was 11minutes.

Thanks for the info.

Ouch, most I suspect will have fallen into the trap that "it an 07 so only a mobile..."

Really honestly think that all (not just most) premium rate numbers should start with the same 2 numbers to alert callers. It's almost as if someone with a vested interest in punters getting confused is in control.

If you want to follow it up, if you think it will do any good? Then the premium rate number regulator http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/ say that although Ofcom are the regulators for personal numbers they will investigate anyone using an 07 number if the charge is more than 10p/min and its reported to them.
