The yellow Tamora Press Car (2002) for sale from TrackVRoad at the moment.
Does somebody know, if it is the very same car that had also been painted red some time in its history?
I think I was viewing it autum 2008, when it was candy apple.

I shot these pictures back in 2010 and if my memory serves me correctly I recall the client mentioning that the car used to be yellow and was a press car. In fact I remember you could see yellow in certain places....

Doing a bit more digging around... turns out that V111JSL was first registered 20/08/2001 as a yellow Tamora carrying the plate TVR100.

The TrackvRoad car (Y6TAM) also started its life as a yellow Tamora carrying the plate TVR100 but wasn't registered until 22/05/2002 (which I assume is when the aforementioned 'original' press car was defleeted hence freeing up the TVR100 number plate for this replacement).

Thanks very much AOK.
So it is the very same car. smile

Btw a collector would maybe be prepared to pay over top for a historic significant car. The Tamora press car certainly is.

But I would prefer an original unmolested car out of sensible hands.

Normally I am a non-contentious poster.....however Buzz, I do rather disagree with you I am afraid....take a look at the marketplace generally...cars with a provenance do tend to command more of the green and folding than others....the more special provenance, the more ££....and the more 'original' the more ££ also.... smile

My guess would be no. My Sagaris did'nt when originally built, but then had it installed by the factory when it went for hot weather testing in Saudi....it never got out of the container...but thats another story! Also my T350, doesnt have it fitted either. Lets see if I'm talking rubbish when they post up the spec! Rumour has it, the roof comes off a Tamora...so no need for air con anyhow IMHO smile

Ah Mr tvrtuscans! Fancy seeing you here

When TrackvRoad release the full information, will the first line say "Deposit already taken... by a serial pre-production TVR collector" ?

smile

That has already been pointed out today smile .....if it was then it would be followed fairly shortly after with a headline that reads..... "Mrs tvrtuscans ejects Mr tvrtuscans from marital home due to unsavory obsessive behaviour around press cars" .....I really can't understand why..... wink

I remember visiting the factory in May 2002. The new Tamora press car bodyshell had just been painted (the Halcyon Midas pearl) and was sitting in the sun outside. Looked fabulous, and made us choose the same colour for our Tamora collected in April 2013. I actually test drove the yellow Tamora press car in early Autumn 2002.
