The OEM front brake discs on my 2010 speed triple warped after about 5000 miles. Rather than replace them with the OEM tat again, I just wondered if anyone has experience of Brembo discs. I'm not a fan of wavy discs, and there's not much else out there it seems.

Thanks

Not a triumph but I've just fitted brembo discs to my BMW, very happy with them. Got them from a place in Italy much cheaper than any uk vendors.

Why are you so against wavey discs?I think its the wobbly Chinese pish on ebay that puts a lot of people off them?Try Blackshadow discs,a good old 'British' product made by 'Brits' crafted from thick 'British' girders!!;-)
Bought them for a few of my bikes, reasonably priced, just at the right price to feel you havent been screwed,or paid far too little that you'd worry. One of the bikes i fitted them to was my tl1000r,so by no means a lightweight thats easy on the front end!

That's good to hear. Got a link for the place you bought them from?

I've never had wavey discs, just don't like the look of them! That's the only reason really!

I think they took about ten days to arrive but I knew that so it was no issue. Bought a few things from them since Xmas.

Thanks! Much cheaper than anywhere I could find in the UK. The current exchange rate helps a lot too I guess. Two Brembo Serie Oro front discs are £233 in total, instead of about £394 from UK suppliers. I've also ordered some Brembo sintered pads for about £30 per caliper, again cheaper than UK.

No worries. They seem like a good shop. I've had a few purchases with no issues. Shame UK suppliers can't be a bit more competitive with their pricing!

The discs and pads arrived the other day. They look far better quality than OEM. The OEM ones look they came from a pound shop in comparison. The total charged to my credit card was £292 for the lot. I'd definitely use Carpi Moto again in the future. The discs are being fitted on Tuesday, I'll update again with the results.

To conclude this thread here's a pic of the fitted discs:

I'm very very happy with the discs and pads. Smooth braking has now returned! I wish I'd changed them sooner to be honest. IIRC The Brembo discs are also 0.5mm thicker than OEM as well, so hopefully they won't warp as easily either.

Thanks again to DuraAce for recommending Carpi Moto. Cheers mate!
