Where to sell a decent watch?
Discussion
I have a recently serviced (so it looks brand new) JLC that was around £14k new probably ten years ago. I never wear the thing (ever) as I have other watches I prefer.
I'm vaguely thinking of selling it - I have it's box, but not the papers.
How best to go around this? Where would I get the best price? I wouldn't do it on Ebay because I don't trust it for high value items.
Advice appreciated....

I have successfully bought in the Sales Forum on Timezone a couple of times.

If you're already a member of http://www.thewatchforum.co.uk/ and http://forum.tz-uk.com/ then I'd use either of these. Problem is, both require a minimum number of posts to be able to access the sales area as they want to discourage spammers/scammers.
I've used the Pistonheads Classifieds several times with no issue! The last two sales involved the buyers coming to my workplace and the deal being done in the Reception lobby! Alternatively, I'd be calling Dom Hackett (A member here) at www.hackettwatches.com to see what he'd offer ...
Otherwise, there are always other places such as WatchFinder and Watches of Switzerland, but you won't get as much cash as a private sale. On the upside, no time wasters and the cash is safely transferred to your account!
