Does anyone know how to get these repaired - best place and cost? It's the 20" diamond cut wheel...

Hi - if you are anywhere near Peterborough call Chris at Peterborough Trim Repairs www.peterboroughtrimrepairs.co.uk

It's my father and brother that run a car body shop - do lots of wheels, including diamond turned ones, and are used to high end stuff

I bring back my 1M wheels from Switzerland to get them done

Cheers

Not sure - I guess at least a couple of days,, but they have sets of loan wheels for most cars.

Lepsons in Kent are the market leaders in diamond-cut wheel refurbs and I believe BMW UK actually use them rather than doing things in house because they're that good.

I've 2 now that need doing. Rear offside was hit by a car last year that jumped traffic lights & did a runner (grazed 1/3rd of the wheel & some of the wheel arch area of the rear bumper). The 2nd was my fault as touched a kerb with the front nearside whilst parking & having a tantrum at the same time.

Mine are the standard 19"s & i was told due to them being diamond cut the cost would be well over £100 per wheel so for now i'm gonna leave it as not worth getting just 2 done & i'll probably wait for another to get damaged & then have all 4 darkened to nearer black.

If anyone can recommend a quality outfit in the North West it would be appreciated??

I had my 3 of my 19's done at http://www.topcoat-bodyshop.co.uk/ in Halifax. A place the wife found whilst working up there. You'd never tell any difference between them and the fourth and if irrc cost was well under £200.

Sytner's new state of the art Nottingham body shop said there was no chance in matching shadow chrome and advised to get them all done the darker colour of the M135!

I wouldn't, they're no where near as good as they used to be. Piss poor is probably more accurate. In the south east I think Lepsons is a better bet.

They've just refurbished my my alloys on my CLK63 I can't fault them I've used them on a number of occasions also Lepsons let me down once I wasn't impressed with the finish & was then told that's the best they'd be sent the wheels to spit & polish which got me the results I was looking for.

But each to their own
