Hello
I use a company called Watchdoctors to do my servicing for all my companies pre-owned watches. They are very good and are much faster and less expensive than a Breguet agent.

Re the links you may be very lucky to find some on Ebay but otherwise will probably need to order from a Breguet stockist

www.watchdoctors.co.uk

This is one of the new Breguets that was launched at Basel. Very nice

Cheers

Jonathan

Breguet are owned by the Swatch group so they are serviced in Eastleigh, Hampshire. Give their customer services a call or drop them an email, they were excellent with my Blancpain.

Or you can go with the dealer pushing his wares in blatant disregard of the rules and recommending his 'mate'. But that's what this place is these days; cue the usual repairer touting for business (with a winking smilie) any moment now...

Yeti - No intentional promoting a "mates" site just genuinely find them to be good at what they do. Have replaced my "services" link that gave some detail on the company with a direct link to their website. Understand your point of view! smile

I recently had some warranty work done to my XXI. Sent via Breguet Boutique on Bond Street. As an indication it took 6 weeks turnaround which is what they quoted. I was told a repair outside of warranty is not prioritised and takes a little longer.

Thanks. Did think was a bit harsh! I have been a member of PH for a long time and want to try and contribute to the forum in order to share a passion, learn from others and hopefully impart some of my knowledge with PH members. If on the back of that I have a watch that a PH member wants to buy, someone want to sell a watch, or just needs some advice on a watch from somewhere else then that's great. Any PH business would always be appreciated. As the business grows and I have some funds for marketing then I may look at doing some PH member offers in partnership with the PH.
All the best

Poj I wrote a brief review when I first got the watch if you do a search. I knew from other reviews it could be a bit delicate compared to a Rolex etc. I don't know why it stopped working but Breguet were very good and I was happy with the repair process especially after reading many scare stories on Swatch group servicing. FYI the bracelet costs £1,300 on its own so don't expect the links to be cheap if they are available separately.

Ignore the bhiness. I find it ironic that across swathes of this forum, you'll only ever hear "oooh oooh oooh speak to 'Dom H', he's really nice to me...!", tenderly scratching that back/arse, yet you also hear very sharp attacks when others are merely perceived to be promoting their own interests.

Some are happy to pick up a 2nd (3rd/4th?) hand watch with the previous owners sweat marks hardly dry, yet would be aghast if some minion at an indie watch repairer was to give it the horological equivalent of an oil change.

Variomatic always seems to offer friendly and helpful advice; Yeti seemingly does have a nice collection of watches; Watchdoctors is fair outfit; and I wish a lot more websites were as simple and clean as yours. I'll bookmark it.

Peace & Love, Peace & Love...life is too short...

Anyway, off to do some research on a VC Overseas Dual Time. Not sure my life will be complete without one.

Thank you for your kind comments. Yes I have read many posts that refer to Dom. Hats off to him. He will have earnt his reputation on the back of great service, great products and fair value. Guess that's what I am about too! Would love to have a lot more watches to sell but have sunk £50k in and that's just to get me going. Getting good watches is really quite hard but will take time. The pre owned unworn watches with a big discount is a good place to start all be it very competitive on EBay etc. I am thinking of moving into the Omega market as I can get so many more watches for the budget I am investing in Rolex. Just need to do some research into the in vogue models. Next month sees me adding credit card facilities which is something I have resisted for fear of scams but practically it will help some customers get the watch they want with that added level of comfort.
EBay has been a source of scammers in the last two weeks but I guess you get the good with the bad...hopefully more of the good as it is a very powerful sales channel and for a business seller pretty good value.

Good luck in your search for a nice VC. Never had one yet. Just thinking about my next Grail watch....or company demo watch. In fact I am a bit bias with my stock as I could happily keep all of them. While at Basel last week I spotted my blue Yachtmaster on display and damn near ripped the stickers off it on my return and put it on my wrist but just managed to resist.

Cheers

Jonathan
