Anyone else tried this?

The wife and I watched the first episode last night. Personally thought it was a bit crap but am willing to give it a couple more episodes - mainly down to the reviews it gets on IMDB.

At the moment I'm comparing it to a higher budget Goodnight Sweetheart without the comedy hehe

P.S. - Can someone edit the title - Prime instead of Primer!

Wife ( and her friends ) are massive fans of the books and loved the series. They've had to
wait for EP09 though as they split the first series into three parts, think EP09 airs this weekend.
Are Amazon showing all the episodes in one continual series?

Episodes 1 to 8 are available now, I'm guessing from what you've written that 9 will be available after this weekend?

If I remember correctly we had to wait until April for EP09 and then there's only 4 episodes or something before another break and then the rest get aired later in the year. (Based on when the
show gets shown in the States). This is only for the first series, I believe the next 2 have been
commissioned and that would only cover the first couple of books, there's lots more material
to cover according to SWMBO.

We are enjoying this. It may seem glacial regarding pace at times, but it is however compelling viewing, beautifully shot and great acting. Also, pretty darn visceral in parts.

Watched another two episodes tonight, while waiting for WD and TWD to record.

Spotted this on Prime and im really getting into it. I love a time travel/person out of time story.

"Follows the story of Claire Randall, a married combat nurse from 1945 who is mysteriously swept back in time to 1743, where she is immediately thrown into an unknown world where her life is threatened. When she is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a chivalrous and romantic young Scottish warrior, a passionate relationship is ignited that tears Claire's heart between two vastly different men in two irreconcilable lives".

I thought I'd read about this series on PH before, so following your recommendation, I'm grabbing copies of the first 11 episodes.

Watched the first one - it's really good. I'm hooked.

Obviously helps that the lead actress is utterly beautiful - totally my type. But I like time travel stories and in particular that they have set the "present" in the past too.

I've seen up to ep9 now and read synopses of the books. I hope they continue to make each book into a series.

One thing I'm keen to see is how her feelings of her husband remains or changes based on her dealings with Black Jack.

After Game of Thrones, I was slightly disappointed with the lack of nudity in the Vikings series, although I love that one too anyway. No such disappointment in Outlander. smile

Was looking forward to the continuation after it was off air for such a long time, watched episode 9 last night and it was a huge disappointment.
Boring and nothing happening, seemed like they took every opportunity to show Caitriona Balfe naked.

The last two eps were tough viewing - little of the "fun" the first half of the series showed. The ending was lighter though, and has promise for the next series which, according to the internet, has been commissioned.

Bump for this as my missus has become obsessed with it on Prime, now on S4 . She persuaded me to watch two episodes last night, and oh my, it's drivel. She loves it, but it is crap!! Seems sooooo slow moving. She reckons the earlier seasons were better, but it's not my bag!!
