We had to say goodbye for the last time to our Staffy, Alfie, over the weekend frown.

It genuinely was one of the hardest things to do, Alfie was the happiest dog I've ever seen . He truly was a pleasure to have around and he lit up the house which now feels completely empty without him.

It's amazing how a relatively small dog has left such a hole.

RIP Alfie, thank you for the 12 years of complete joy you gave.

I'm really sorry frown But how lovely to have 12 years of happy memories.

My nan used to say 'They take a piece of your heart with them' - I think she was right frown

You will meet his soul again in time. Maybe not in this life, but in time.

What a handsome chap, so sorry for your loss, it really is so hard yet often for the right and in the end selfless reason.

You will remember the good times with a smile in time (rather than the tears that will no doubt be there right now)

Sorry to hear that, we lost our 13.5 year old springer last wednesday. We had known that we wouldnt have her much longer since about a year but the last visit to the vet was still hard. We took on a 7 year old rescue Staffie last year and she,s just about heartbroken at the loss of her pal.

RIP Alfie frown Some nice pics too.

Its odd how you can have the top of the pistonheads page where its all 'what 5k diesel' and supercars, but you come to this section (Very active) and see sobering threads like this. Such a contrast.
