Off on a jolly with my 2 business parners, we're great mates and want some R and R.

Some great food, fun places to drink and have the craic. Not that interested in culture on this one.

Anyone been to either / both and can make a recommendation?

We're gong 3rd week in June if that matters.

Thanks

Been to both on a stag doe's and would highly recommend Lisbon. One of my favourite City's in Europe. There is this great area called Bairro Alto, where it seems every other commercial premises is a bar and everyone just stands out on the streets having a drink. The atmosphere is superb and that all stops around 1 ish and you can head down to the water front where there are more bars and night clubs. The one bad thing about Lisbon is that getting into clubs can be really difficult without any females in your party. Getting to nightclubs early should get you access, but if you are 3 guys and arrive at a nightclub around 2-3am without any ladies you've got no chance.

That said, i much prefer it to Valencia.

Another vote for Lisbon. All of the above plus you're 20 minutes commuter train ride from cascais for some nice beaches, casino (at estoril) plus you can hire boats for fishing trips from cascais marina or do RIB rides etc. A little further west of Cascais there are some great surfing beaches.

Thanks for the feedback, Lisbon is now booked, surprising how cheap it is (at least compared to Rome / Barcelona where we have been before).

Staying at the Sofitel as got a good deal via BA.com, it's a bit more business like that what I wanted, but it looks nice and it's central.

Any recommendations of bars / restaurants / clubs? (take on board the comment about getting in early, or we can just find some random girls in the queue and offer to buy them drinks to go in with us smile)

The docas in Lisbon is a good night out (although I was last there about 11 years ago!)
