Does anyone have experience of Grieve of Falkirk ?

I've had horrendous customer service from Arnold Clark in the Aberdeen area and vowed never to deal with them again, but I really like Jeep and wonder if I should look further afield.

Both the Dundee and Elgin Jeep dealerships are part of the A Clark group so I reckon Falkirk is the closest independent dealership but I know nothing of Grieves.

All feedback welcomed.

Grieves have the subaru franchise in Falkirk and are very highly regarded. I know people up here in Aberdeenshire who shun the local dealer to travel 100+ miles each way to go there!

I bought a jeep patriot from them couple years ago. Never again. Traded it in after a month of ownership and a fortune fixing it.

I did however trade it in for a jeep commander but from the Mitsubishi dealership in Inverness.

Belmont in Edinburgh (in fairness, in the old Sighthill location) absolutely dire to the point I'd never take it back to them again. Repeated technical incompetence, rip-offs and poor service.

Tried Grieves in Falkirk and they were certainly better, but far from perfect so I gave up on them after 2 visits too.

Last service was then with Arnold Clark in Perth, and although only on the strength of 1 service they seemed the best by far and certainly where it will be going back to in the future.

Thanks for your feedback guys - it's all very helpful although contradictory.

I guess I need to decide if I want a Jeep and then maybe visit Arnold locally, tell them of my concerns and see if they can be arsed persuading me to buy.

The other option I'm considering is contacting the manufacturer directly and discussing things with them if that's even possible. This might achieve an improved level of service at my local or it might piss them off totally - who knows ?
