Removing glass fibre box next to Heater matrix cover
Discussion
Hi
I've removed the GF COVER/heater matrix housing, I now need to remove the other one which the heater matrix is sikaflexed to and goes under the left wing
Basically where the LED light is forget the pointing finger that's just telling to replace the protective pad once the paint job is complete!
I've remove the 3 self tappers but don't want to force it and break it
Cheers

The Sikaflex is very tough and strong stuff - I think the best thing to do is to use a craft knife (or Stanley knife) to cut as much of the seal as possible.
(I only know this because I witnessed a specialist do it on my first Tam, when I had heater probs...)

Have done this twice on the sag, so similar. I used a snap off blade Stanley on full extension, a stainless decorating scraper and some hard wood wedges. Get some baby oil for the blade and don't prod around, just nice slow cut, wedge, cut, wedge. It takes time, and you will hear crack crackle etc. as the glass fibre flexes. I would masking tape everything up around it as one slip will be remembered for ever.
