So who's getting one then. They're advertising them like mad which I've not known Apple do before with a brand new product which makes me think they are worried.

I personally think they're a bit too niche. i.e. You need to have an iPhone AND need a new watch. Me personally thinks they're going to be a flop (I could eat my words in a month!)

I have a watch already and it has significantly better battery life than these overpriced, gaudy trinkets.

Voted option 4 but only if the looks/tech improves significantly. Current design horrible and not convinced of its usefulness.

I couldn't be arsed having to charge it up every night. The last watch I bought is solar powered so I didn't have to worry about battery replacement.

I'm umming & ahhing about getting one. I've not got a watch at the moment & do like the idea of Google maps on my wrist when heading about on foot as its annoying having to pull my phone out of my pocket endlessly. Also seeing who's ringing/texting me for the same reason as above as sometimes don't hear the phone go off if it's in my pocket. I'm not so keen however on the fact the watch may make me look a bit of a knob to others! The styling looks good in the pics but I've yet to go see one in the flesh.

Not bothered by them. My solar G will outlast it in every way and is cooler.

Possibly interested once I see more of what third parties like Strava, Golfshot, etc come up with.

How annoyed do you think Apple are with the Apple Watch being called the iWatch? hehe

I've had a Pebble Steel for a while.

This has convinced me of the value and utility of a smartwatch.

I'll be getting Apple Watch as it promises significantly superior functionality - and I'm already used to what you get out of one.

Battery life is crap in comparison to the Pebble, though. There again: I charge my car and my phone each night. It's not a problem to do the same with my watch.

I have a Pebble which so far works fine and WILL also work with my 4S (and Android if I choose to change back) , so No I will not be buying one.

I don't understand how these work really? Are they any good? My watch doesn't see the light of day underneath my shirt etc. Ok in summer it does but that's only 1 week out of 52 wink

Will wait for version 2. I'm adopting this strategy for every Apple product at the moment!

I don't see the attraction, especially the Apple version that retails around $10K?
I'm very happy with my Omega and i would rather put any spare cash towards another one or another premium brand watch.

Most people I know either don't wear a watch or have a nice one already (i.e.Tag/Rolex/etc) which they wouldn't change. I really don't think they'll take off.

For the first time I can recall, I've not bought an Apple product on launch day - Either I'm getting old or the Watch just solves a problem that doesn't exist!

When I got it I left it on the window cill in the sun for a day and it's indicated full charge ever since. I've had a solar watch for 10 years and never had it go flat. It must pick up enough light to keep charged?

I'll be getting one. Mainly for fitness and activity stuff, partly because I'm curious about how other apps I use will integrate, and finally because I'd like to explore some development for them myself.

My girlfriend is desperate to order one and is just waiting for the day! So whatever happens, I will get to have a good play with one shortly with any luck.

I have warned her that it will require charging every day, and that she will get sick of that, but as usual... women won't be told! biggrin

I love Apple stuff and have pretty much one of everything of theirs, but the watch just isn't attracting me that much for some reason. I think it's because I have a nice little watch collection anyway and buying a Apple will mean not using what I have.

I am very interested to see the health and fitness features though as that could change my mind.

I don't see the point of it, why do I need an intermediate medium between me and my phone?
