Guessing , but I think this would have specced at about £K 112 . Looks like a good car to me - however I would find a handful that you like as still quite a few available and pitch low on all of them and see what happens as someone will be looking to sell . The only thing this car hasn't got is PCCB's ( Ceramic Brakes - these are yellow rather than red) The option cost on PCCB's was about £K 6500 - amazing brakes though and if you can find one with them I'd have them over steels (lots of others would say the opposite though and by all accounts the steels were very good too) The GT3 is an awesome car , good luck finding one - I can't believe you wouldn't love it smile

P.S. Bucket seats are a must IMHO , feel great and really comfortable. Lift is only needed if you have issues getting on / off your drive / spend lots of time in car parks - not needed for speed ramps as long as you are careful - also if you damage the front splitter they are only £130 to replace - so don't be put off a car without lift unless you know you need it .

Thanks for the quick responses, what would you call a cheeky bid?

I would think it's SOR - if so it looks great in the dealership's showroom and I would be surprised if they get more than £6k if they sell at £136k....so they probably not desperate to sell.

But who knows...on the right day.......£125k bid would pass the "first offer should insult test" (try and keep a straight face when making it).....to be fair I'm not sure £135k is a long way from what they are actually being bought at.

I saw it today & it looks superb, hasn't got SC which is rare but still a lovely spec...

They own it & I'd be surprised if they take less than 135k...

SC does nothing special on the GT3 - basically just an extra clock - so no real loss if your chosen car doesn't have it!

I think it was about £1k for the clock because it has app to record lap times but I am not aware of any that have been used that way so a very expensive clock! Owner obviously decided buckets a better investment, which it is. Mine has the clock and guess what, it tells the time....
I think this is one of the later cars to be delivered as it is running on Dunlops rather than Michelin's which I understand are slightly better at lower temperatures and in the wet.

Hi all, thinking about dipping my toe into the GT3 market, what are your thoughts on this?
What would have cost new?
What are your thoughts on specification and colour?
Worth the money or worth the haggle?

Thanks in advance.
My advise is not to rush as most 991 gt3 cars currently for sale have been up for the best part of a year. They don't appear to be selling around the 130k mark. If it's going to be a summer car I would wait and try and pick one up tail end of this year.

Hope you guys don't mind me butting in, but I'm after advice.
I am going for a second look (on a ramp this time) at the white car at Romans.
I looked at the car yesterday, and went for a drive (wow!).
What sort of things should I be looking for, or questions asking....?

Any advice greatly appreciated.
For the record, it's a Jan 2014 car, less than 4k miles, big spec (£124k list) including PCCB's.
Also, my garage door opening is 2130mm wide, will I have any issues with this?

Many thanks in anticipation for the inevitable raft of feedback smile

Whilst I agree with the sentiment of this post , you don't half talk some sh*t - a few of the cars have been up for quite a while , not most and not for a year - that is absolute rubbish !

Any 991 GT3 is awesome, the spec is up to you and how much you are prepared to pay. You will not be dissapointed and each drive leaves a smile on my face.
No problem with getting the car into a standard garage, mine is also 2130 wide and never an issue, just drive in carefully. Opening the doors inside will depend on the width of the garage when inside, mine is double width so no problem when in. Hope this helps.

If it's a Jan 2014 car then it may have been delivered prior to the engine change situation, double check this and if so then it should have some certificate of installation and also I believe an extra years' warranty applied - making 4 years in total. I'm sure some others will confirm this.

I'd take it to an OPC and get them to plug into their computer to be sure there are no anomalies - if the car is standard then there should be no warranty issues.

Sounds like it should be a good car to me - don't listen to the naysayers - if you like it then go for it. best car for the ££ available today in my opinion. That's why I bought one too smile

The Sports Chrono on the later cars is very different to that on the earlier cars - I was referring to that on the early cars. You are right that the option on the later cars had addition functionality and much grater cost!

Rsvp911 you may want to do your home work before being rude to other posters.
From memory weren't you one of the owners on the 180k band wagon!

Hang on a mo - what has the fact that I sold my GT3 back in June got to do with the fact that I set the record straight on your comment re amount of cars / length of time on sale (this is important if you are thinking about buying one) They are unrelated - I have no issue that I sold my 3 as the only reason I did is because I was lucky enough to get an RS allocation - otherwise I'd still have it and I'd still be driving the pants off it just as I did before I sold it - if I had more money than sense and a bigger garage I would have kept it as it was without doubt the best car I've ever driven - or it was until I drove the RS (and in truth the 997.2 RS is an amazing driving experience too - both best of type , brilliant - just different )

P.S - I never was any good at my homework !

P.P.S - I didn't sell for £K 180 ( I wish )

P.P.P.S - sorry to offend , I posted tongue in cheek , however I can see how it might have offended you - apologies smile

Thanks Cbax - one obstacle out of the way. I'm exactly as you, double garage, 2 doors, so no probs getting out, once inside.....

Thanks in advance.
Nice reasonable spec and mileage car with leather lift and buckets. Good value too. Possibly a 'factory engine' car. Not many black ones about.

Just ensure it is a c16 spec car.

Gt3 is 1978mm wide including externsl mirrors. Plenty of room!

Good spec mid production car but with adaptive seats. Red stitching and yellow calipers may be against the car.

Btw, I know for a fact that OPCs were paying £165-170k for GT3 stock in March. Some shifted (£170k-£180k), others sat for a while and the prices came down.

Could this really be a problem?!
Personally, I prefer it to the 'colour coordinating' brigade!....
