Has anyone got a Holland and Holland Range Rover? I was looking at an old P38. Where is the best place to search for one? They are fairly rare. Does anyone know roughly the cost of the P38 as they are obviously rarer than the standard version and cost more.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Boss had one. very nice and comfy, but the boot was taken up with a cabinet of sorts......sort of pointless if you cant use the boot. I have not got a clue if this is the case of all the H&Hs of just his?

Thats probably the shotgun cabinet. I'm not sure if you can take it out or leave it in.

Isn't that (a large part of) the point of the H&H RRs?

the problem with gun cabinets etc in the boot is access to the spare wheel

the cabinets are solid wood and very heavy

a friend had one in his RR and after a flat it took two people to lift if out after unloading the contents - in the pouring rain

he sold the cabinet next day

Without the cabinet it's surely just a RR with different colour

as a retired sporting agent I got to see pretty much every sporting shotgun/rifle

the days of made to measure guns are now limited to a very small number of people (mostly more money than sense) - most of the 'old money' I dealt with were either using father/grandfathers guns where suitable or a modern off the peg gun especially Beretta

I'd never waste money on a shotgun - have an inherited Charles Smith English sidelock but shoot far better with a Beretta 686 sporting o/u

but there is a massive advantage of spending serious money on stalking rifles and 'glass'

I can no longer shoot an over and under, too many years with a sidelock side by side,

tradition you know,

I would think the best place to find an H&H would be either a specialist magazine, Land Rover Owner say, or maybe an Indy seller.

I've seen a couple on Flea Bay but not sure I'd risk it without a good look before bidding.

Have you thought about a 'Lindley' or a final edition 'Westminster'?

That cabinet is a real pita. I have a client who has 1 in his Disco from August 12 to Jan 31 & you really do need 2people to shift it!!

£180k for a new one. £7k(ish) for a P38 Holland and Holland, is this some sort of depreciation record? Albeit different model.
