Folks,

I'm looking to get my son and his partner transported to there prom on the Friday 26th June 2015. My new golf R and mums new C220 merc aren't cool enough apparently so I thought I'd ask for some help.

I'm not looking to drive the car as clearly its not mine and I'm happy to pay said driver cash for their time or money to their selected charity in the order of £150-£200.

He will need collecting from our home in Yaxham then onto collect his girlfriend (if they haven't split by then lol) at her house in Dereham town centre (she maybe dropped with us but we've not sorted that bit yet) and then onto the venue at Weston Park (NR9 5JW) arriving before 7:30pm.

So with two to collect it rules out a lot. Shes the size of a stick and around 5ft 9 tall so would happily squeeze into a 2+2 wink

Can anyone help or recommend any other options that won't cost me a fortune as I'm having to get a suit to go with her outfit already (you'd think they were getting married smile ).

Email nick.wall@yahoo.co.uk or text/call me on 07800 695619

Many thanks

Nick

You got any preferences or ideas Nick?

Obviously most people's idea of flash transport doesn't have passenger seats!

Just sold my 360, but would a 997 Turbo suffice?

Take this, for the love of God take this. If only to see the bemused look on people's faces.

Wow guys thanks so much. In terms of ideas I can only think of a few 2+2's that you could get a 6 foot tall female in the back without her feeling like a sardine can and ruining her no doubt expensive dress but as owners you will know better than me.

997 Turbo ticks a lot of boxes for me, could a 6 footer sit in the rear OK ?

Now been told two cars isn't the way forward as they need to arrive together in the same vehicle.

Loving the A team van, can you ping me details please.

Sons now off to ask girlfriend.

Can you get two people in a Cerbera? Not that I have one, but there are a few around. Definitely no room for a six footer in the back of a 911, or a jag, or an Aston

Yeah my Subaru was awesome just couldn't justify adding 15k miles to it a year so decided to sell whilist it had a decent value on it

My son pointed out we've got 2 months dad whats the rush. As I advised you won't be the only one looking for transport and will end up in a shed or my car smile I'm think a GTR is the best choice and I've always fancied owning one just not for the next 5 years whilst I build up cash supplies (hoping my shares go upwards for a change).

I done a prom a couple of years ago for a boy/girlfriend in 2 x 2 seater cars. We arrived at the venue at the same time with me in front with the lad in my Noble, he then got out and opened the door of the 355 behind and helped his girlfiend get out in front of the cheering crowds- went really well!
