Its a big mess and a joke if you ask me, here's my findings :

1. Dealers can opt out of the fixed priced servicing
2. Dealers claim spark plugs are not included
3. Dealers claim RS/ S models should not be covered under the plan
4. Audi website does not state any of the above
5. 2/3 dealers I called stated 5.2 v10 not covered
6. My dealer a. refused to answer the question initially and then also stated if was not covered

So where does this leave me...

Well now I am paying 189 which includes oil but I provided my own oil - so we'll see how that pans out in terms of pricing ! Also now I don't have the spark plugs done so what do I do now ? pay for the 375 fixed price service plan which includes spark plugs and another service 6 months later ? or have it done at an indy - who knows i'll update you all upon collection

Best thing in my opinion is they honour the fixed price plan and do the spark plugs as well as that's what I wanted

I suspect South East labour rates make it non-viable for some dealers?'

The one that quoted me silly money subsequently turns out to do the fixed price work (at least on our s5 as haven't enquired for my d2 s8)

Fwiw, I took my full audi service history car to an independent for its recent service and it turns out that the air /cabin filters weren't touched during the last trip to audi. Screws missing, air box flaps seized, pipes off etc. Don't waste your money with main dealers.

^This^ I'd ask for a list of which dealers have opted out. And raise stink if the dealer is just playing fast and loose with the terms.

Some dealership chains (eg Sytner) advertise it directly on their websites.

Car collected and bill paid for 300 (189 plus my oil and 100 quid for sundries such as pollen filter etc which is not included in the 189 price)

So where it should have been circa 375 for all the above plus sparks and their oil

The dealership will let me know what they can do regarding spark plus, I'm not holding out much hope

They have a training issue and have effectively lied by quoting me 800 for something which should cost 375. The manager admitted it seems to be their issue in terms of the offer.

The thing that gets me is why not do the full 375 service and not use my oil and we'd all be happy

I will be on to Audi CS tomorrow

By the way everyone in the dealership was complaining

Without naming them directly, what area of London is this dealer? I'm assuming it's inside the M25?

Gotcha - South West London area then smile Not one I've used for servicing, although did once try to actually view a car at one of their sites. That was painful enough for me!

Complaint raised with Audi CS

All I want is the full fixed priced service at 375 and compensation for the use of my oil

Needless to say I wont be using the dealership again

Still awaiting the "adjusted" price of the spark plug service

The oil cost to them is what, £25? Why didn't you just let them do the full service for 375 and keep your oil?

That's my point exactly

Originally was quoted 485 and if supplied oil dropped to 365 hence why I was doing so

with sparks costing an additional 395

Dealership has come back to me with a price of 186 to do spark plus. So it will cost 486 plus the oil I supplied to perform the same as a 375 fixed price service.

Dealer screws punter in servicing shocker. Take it to an independent and sleep well is my only advice. Been there, got the headaches. They'll only put a 16 year old on it and leave out half the screws and throw away the clips.

Dealer tries to rip off customer
Customer fights back and wins

So dealerships have no idea on costs etc it seems to go in with eyes wide open

Thanks to all on the tread
