Hi All, my M is starting to hunt a little on idle. Anyone seen this?

Only a few hundred RPM but a noticeable hunting at tick over, MAFS on their way out? She is pre-facelift and no NAV so I can't access the data screen I see mentioned elsewhere.

176k and engine rebuild at CPC 18mths ago, so nothing major at fault, Ironically aside from the hunting she is running better than ever, so probably about to fail in some way!

On my E36 M3 Evo, the lambda sensors were causing a jumpy idle and random stalling. After I changed them it's been as good as gold.

You don't need to have nav to access the diagnostic menus on any E39. A wonky MAF, both or emmissions sensor as mentioned above would be my first suspects too.

Crank or camshaft position sensors going should illuminate the EML.
