Hi guys,

I've a problem with the air conditioning on my daily, air con is not running cold, sounds like its low on gas, although compressor still kicks in, so not really low. I had a similar issue last year and Toyota replaced two o-rings between the evaporator and expansion valve.

I've taken it back to them and they'll replace them again for free. However, its £59 to check if its the o-rings or not!

I'd rather take it to an air con specialist for diagnostics and repair / re-gas.

Can anyone recommend someone near Romford?

I'm prepared to travel up to an hour or so if they are decent. Mobile is fine as well.

Cheers all.

Thanks SJC.

Wanted to post some feedback. Ron was good, work was good, good price structure, happy to show me what was wrong etc and let me ask questions. Importantly, was flexible with times to do the work etc. So could fit in around my work / weekend plans etc.

Would recommend.

Just came in here to post similar in the SE London / Kent area!

Wife's Qashqai had a weird vibration through the clutch pedal when the a/c was on, and then the a/c just stopped working. Went to the dealer for a service and to investigate, and all they did was recharge it (without any dye banghead). It worked... for about 3 weeks, the vibration is back and it's blowing warm!

Any suggestions?

Let me know how you get on?

My toy car lost all it's gas when the pipes were disturbed at the last engine change.
I want it sorted for the summer queues.

For anyone using search I had mine leak-tested and refilled by NWJ Autocare in Lordswood.

The owner, Neil is a respected PHer.

All sorted. Diagnosed as a leak in the condenser within 10 secs, ordered a new one and fitted on the drive a week or so later. Nice guy, no bullst, would have fitted a s/h compressor to one of my other cars and regassed if I had wanted him to. Condenser not cheap but price fair for the time spent working on the car. Cash only but provides proper receipts and work guaranteed. Will certainly use him again for a/c woes.
