So , here we are again , after yesterdays sweet torture I would just like to give a big shout out to the delivery company who deliver on behalf of Ocean garden furniture , after 3 days when they did not show up they finally turned up at 1830 and dumped it on the cerb smile

On unpacking yes you got it there is 1 large cushion missing , so Delivery drivers mail order companies car part suppliers especially You Audi-VAG I Salute you all biggrin

Still loving the new furniture and Mrs LS was especially thrilled with the bottle of wine and the sofa last night smile

So now then , lets see what today brings , surely VAG can not foul up the spare part delivery 3 days on the trot

Or can they scratchchin

Seems like Mrs Lost Soul is fairly low maintenance as a wife, a bottle of wine and a sofa.....keeps her happy....let's hope the car is equally low maintenance wink

seriously, fingers crossed for today and hopefully the next pictures you post will be of a lovely Le Mans blue 335i smile

So the DVLA have just done the private plate swap and I have the final reg she will be on , checked the car out on the BMW warranty site and they want £550 a year for full comprehensive with £100- excess , sounds like a winner for peace of mind to me smile

Just how bullet proof wriggle proof are the BMW warranty's ?

Hi mate, I've had a e92 335i coupe for 2 years now. I swapped the runflats for Falken FK453 as they seemed the best compromise of performance and price. Much better ride without RFT's. They are great cars and pretty rare, at least around me.

I also have BMW warranty for mine. £30 a month I think it is. for that price it's a bit of a no brainer.

Only direct experience is with BMW AUC warranty, where without asking they replaced an oxygen sensor, one of the (touches wood) very few things that's gone wrong with the car. Not 100% sure if there is any difference with the BMW warranty you would buy, but I would reiterate that from my reading online (as I was considering 335i's from non franchised dealers) almost unanimously it was deemed the only warranty to buy for anyone either out of AUC warranty, out of manufacturer's warranty, or buying their BMW, like you are, from a non franchised dealer.

As you now have VIN, as it's generated by the BMW warranty quote site, have you tried this site? It gives you the full spec of your car. I found it useful as there were a few features I wasn't aware I had biggrin

Well the car is from a non franchised dealer , and is sold with that 12 month AA warranty

but i am thinking if i can get it on a full BMW warranty for £550 a year it would just take away all the stress of ownership , or is the AA warranty going to be man enough for the job smile

Enjoy !! I picked up my 335i saloon last August. Not stopped grinning yet , power delivery is excellent along with the noise. Surprisingly economical as well when driven sensibly ( which is not very often )

biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I am back , so after 7 years of diesel I am back in a 335i biggrin I can not tell you just how over the moon I am with this car she is really a lovely all round sporty car and the sound smilealthough I can not find the bypass to unplug in the back confused it all looks different in the back of the convertible

And she comes with with the added bonus of an invoice for the high pressure fuel pump being replaced last year biggrin , the exhaust sound the steering the handling , the A5 3lt tdi was a fast ish car but the suspension was really crashy over anything other than billiard smooth road surfaces , the BMW has just as firm suspension but is so compliant , the steering is precise and lovely to use and a perfect weight smile not had the roof up and it will need to be raining for me to put it up smile

Had a hospital appointment at Brighton this morning so a nice 0730 start roof down which turns any drive into a mini adventure (well for me it does)

And here she is smile

Thanks you to all for the words of wisdom , I am sure I will be back to pick your brains at some point in the future if that's ok thumbup

Very nice.

Exhaust mod should be the same as the E92. Open the boot, take the cover off the back of the nearside tail-light. Disconnect the connector that is right in front of you.

Or, get a JB4 and do it from your steering-wheel controls thumbup

Easiest way is to stick your head under the bumper and pull the vacuum tube off the actuator then plug it with something.

Much easier than trying to find and undo the plug and just as reversible

Pretty car opsmile. I have owned a 56 plate E92 335i SE with a small remap for about 14 months now and touch wood it hasn't missed a beat thus far and sounds great with the exhaust mod on full song. It is a little bit softer than many of my previous w/end rides but always puts a smile on my face when I give it some beans, quite a quick car with the map.
Good luck with it and enjoy...

Have seen the Vids on it , have had a chance to take a look now and the inside of my E93 boot is totally different to the inside on the E92 in the vid ?

I have opened and poked about in all the little cubby holes and hatches but no luck finding it frown

I a willing to try that route , so at the back is it clearly visible ?

Which side is it ? so just unplug it and stick a golf T in it , what about the actuator just leave that open ?
