Ford MyKey reset

Id like to start by saying I'm an idiot and should really read manuals before playing around with settings.

Recently bought a used Fiesta ST only 1 set of keys were provided with it, whilst playing around with settings I managed to make this key restricted with the "MyKey" restrictions limited to 80mph etc. Not really realizing I needed the other key to reset it.

Any idea on how to get this removed?, I'd rather not pay a dealer the amount for a new master key to remove this.

From reading about this a while back I think it's a dealer visit. Order a new key and have that as the admin key.

Indeed it is, had it in to my local dealer this morning and they said the only way to do it is with a new key... which they quoted me £300 for.

I think I'll just find out if I can get an Auto Locksmith to do it or go to another garage that came across as a bit of a silly price.
