N00b question, but does this need to be on Steam? Or can it be installed separately (as my Steam drive is getting full) if I d/l it from somewhere like Amazon or Green Man Gaming?
Any idea of cheapest price too?
If it's just a disk space thing and you've got others (as I'd assume from what you've said) then Steam can have multiple folders these days, you don't need to do anything strange to install all your games across different drives.

However the Steam download does (or at least did) need an extra 100GB of free space in addition to the 60GB game download to unpack and install the game. The Rockstar download you get from everywhere else doesn't. So if space is an issue it may be a consideration.

I only have a pair of 256GB SSD's and neither had 160GB free, so if I'd bought it from Steam I'd have been screwed.

I believe the need for double the space was only for the preload. If you buy now it unpacks as it is downloaded.

Just happen to have Kotaku in my faves:

Weirdly some of the highest settings look worse, the reflection msaa seems either to not work or make it worse.

The game is very well optimised, as long as I disable vsync I can run stupidly high settings for a modest system like mine. The game looks and runs great but more importantly its a st ton of fun to play. I'm hooked on it.

I was driving through the streets of Saudi today thinking how civilized the driving in GTA V was. Could do with some sticky bombs though....

So on the transfer over from the 360 all my stuff got wiped apart from property and weapons (sans ammo..)

Eventually got a response having pestered them and they just gave me the money back, I think.... at least it was something rather than nothing.

So I did the sensible thing and bought a monster truck:

And then 5 minutes later it looked like this:

Oops biggrin

I've owned GTA V on PS3 and I played it a lot. I've now got it on PC and I'm playing it a lot again. However, I've given up with one of my personal quests and I'm now asking for help.

Has anyone got the Hearse that (doesn't EVER) spawn outside the church? I've looked for it for hours and hours with no luck. If someone has it, they can make it spawn for me instantly if we're in the same game. Help a brother out!

You've still got spare memory to use to. I got mine cranked right up. Problem is all my cars are chrome so when the sun shines at the correct angle its blinding lol

Plenty of spare memory, it's a 6GB card. If I crank the settings any further I start to lose FPS.

Everyone framerate is solid in the city, what's it like when you get out into the country? That's the killer

Enjoying this game so far but I definitely need people to play with on GTA Online. I will send an invite to the PHPC crew when I am next online. My username is Rob893, feel free to add me on Steam as I need more Steam friends.

I have an i5 4690k (no overclocking) and an MSI GTX 970 4gb (mild overclocking) with 8GB ram and I can run it not far from max at 1920x1080 apart from AA (I like my framerate to be silky smooth). This is only around the city mind, I haven't really ventured out into the country yet.

Seems there's 3 PH clans.

PHPC
PHSM
VBRJ

Should we uniform ourselves or does anyone care?

Someone's added the script hook to let you spawn stuff, make your vehicle invincible etc.

I flew along the beach in a Lazer with the gear up and a sunbather got impaled on the wing. Good times.
