Well, that was a damned cold day out . But as enjoyable as usual with the typically eclectic mix of cars that are found at the hill , from electric Mitsubishi to insanely quick single seaters . The speed trap on the top straight is always interesting and I think some PHers whose interest lies in whether road car A is faster than road car B might have their eyes opened to just how big the difference is between a quick road car , a hillclimb prepped Caterfield and a big banger single seater. For example - most TVRs - 68- 78mph; modified Evos 85mph; highly modified Evos and Imprezas and quick Seven type cars- 95mph. Gould etc 3.5litre single seater 125mph (and at the championship round later in the year that will be closer to 140mph).

Having been through that speed trap myself at a mere 60mph and STILL finding it hard not to lift in the following corner with the Armco inches from my bodywork, the thought of doing it at 140 gives me the shakes.
