Focus ST 225 De-res
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I am looking at getting a bit more noise from my stock exhaust, and a de-res on the car sounds like a good option. I just had a few questions regarding it because I'm not too educated in the field!
I believe you have to take a section out the middle of the exhaust and almost straight pipe it through, I'm wondering where would I source the additional pipe from and what else is needed?
Also I wont be doing it myself, so is it something I could just get done at the local garage?
One final question: you don't have to do anything with the cat in order to de-res the exhaust do you? (I don't want any random error lights!)
All help appreciated!!
Thanks

I've done my exhaust myself.
3 inch downpipe, onto a 3 inch decat, then onto a 3 inch de res section then onto a standard rear silencer.
Sounds like a rally car.
I got a metre long stainless 3 inch diameter pipe with a 90 degree bend on it,cut it to length then attached it with a sleeve each end.
