Trying to remember Halb, was it you that mentioned Netflix being a no go due to s****y rural broadband?

Yeah. frown
I've been keeping an eye on the fibre upgrade for my cabinet but it has slid back from "Enabled area" to "Under Review".
Most frustrating.
It's taken me several weeks to work through Series 5&6 of Justified (sky box sets) on current string connection. biggrin

Downloaded the series and have just watched 12. 13 downloading. The series is Brutal. But extremely watchable. One of the best themes and Titles for a while.

It's the reverse of "Flash". Both carry their stories well. In 13 we meet the Daredevil

Flash is good family fun for all ages. You'd be happy letting your young children watch it.
You wouldn't with Daredevil. It is dark, in places extremely violent.

I didn't have high hopes for it when it came out - but it is the best thing Marvel have done - by a long way.

Right. I watched a portion of one episode of Flash, but it seemed too kiddy/vanilla/baddie of the week type stuff. I only put up with Agents of SHIELD because it's part of the MCU.
Sounds like Daredevil is the sort of thing I've wanted for years.

The Flash does introduce Baddies but they tend to last more than a week. And they are not always what they seem. Daredevil is basically doing the same but is equally good at carrying them beyond one episode.

I'll agree with you on Flash... to a point. I watched S1E1 and was distinctly underwhelmed (it was ok but nothing special), thought I'd soldier on for E2 and it does start pulling together.

Just finished this last night.

I think it's safe to say that this is the best thing that Marvel have put out. Great characters, a good overarching story with good individual episodes along the way.

It's adult, so no pandering to kids with silly characters or juvenile jokes. The fight seasons are pretty brutal (though classic comic book unrealistic in places), no holding back on the violence side of things.

Loved it and really looking forward to season 2.

More casting, this one confirmed. Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle / The Punisher - http://www.denofgeek.com/tv/daredevil/35715/darede...

And season 2 has a logo, now with bullet holes (hint hint)

I saw that last night. Brilliant choice. Shane from Walking Dead, he looks like the perfect PUnisher. Also, Punisher is a no nonsense hero, and more like what one would be in real life. Great addition to what sounds like a great show.
