A really enjoyable game. That's more like it. United steaming forwards. Great fun. That Martial was a menace in the first half.

Good match from ManU against a strong opponent. Martial by the way starting to look like a bargain (in a PL sort of way).

Switched between both group matches, PSV basically gave the match away in the first 20 minutes; should have been at least a draw. Wolfsburg probably is the most difficult opponent for PSV.

Prediction group outcome;
1.ManU
2.Wolfsburg
3.PSV
4.Moskow

I agree, much more like it. It's the new style Louis teamtalk:
shout CHARGE!

Martial is one heck of a player. Rooney should've scored.

Rooney seems to have forgotten where his feet are, how to control them & what he's supposed to be doing out there frown (Not looking that quick over the ground any more either!)

On form, Rooney should not even be on the bench. There are no football reasons for him to be in the side except (and it is a big point) that he is very important for the morale of the rest of the team and the general feel at the club.

Not sure why LVG keeps on messing with the defence...Darmian on the right always, Rojo/Blind/Young on the left, depending on who is around. Valencia, although not entirely at fault for the goal (chap would have been on anyway), is not a defender.

Rojo and Shaw are both injured. Blind would normally cover left back but with him and smalling playing so well at the moment I would rather they stay together as a partnership. Young can play left back but I presume LVG wanted Damian to cover, and they have Tony who played most of last season at RB.

Not ideal but needs must.

yes

Seeing as TV was our RB for most of last season and Darmian is fine at LB it made sense, I think Rojo was close to being fit but LvG didn't want to risk him, I'd expect to see him at LB against the Arse

LVG's said if he's fit he plays because he's Captain, I agree though to me it looks like he needs a break.

Depay for me has not shown what he's about yet. Martial tho I cant get over how quickly he's shown us what's he's about.

I think Memphis looks pretty good. He's adjusting to the "Philosophy" (in English: keep the ball but otherwise be st).

I'm more than happy with Memphis, Martials start has eclipsed his obviously but they'll both have ups and downs. I think we have 2 very talented young players in those 2 though.

Looking forward to the game with Arsenal. For me since Martials arrival we've been playing good football.

Apart for being pretty home sick, this trip, I'm enjoying being in India at the moment because every United game seems to be shown smile

8:30pm kick off, sat at the bar with a G&T, (mosquito repellent), Tenderloin steak (they don't stone foreigners), what could be better?

I've even managed to avoid flying Etihad or Emirates, thanks to Lufthansa. smile

Hello all, from my last post above, I'm now sat at the bar in my Indian hotel waiting for the game.
The Chef, also a Manchester United fan, is sat next to me.
He just suggested I ask you kind people what I should have for dinner while I'm watching the game.
The menu is;-
Bangers and mash with onion gravy (German sausages?),
Beer battered fish and chips (chef said don't, it's not good),
Chicken biriyani,
Ajwaini kathi roll?
Kaikura khuma?
Aur aloo tawa pulao?
Or
Spag bol.

Any suggestions very welcome smile
