100% agree with this. And yet, I find they'll say "but it's not litter. It's biodegradable / that's what cleaners are paid for / there's so much litter already why does it matter/ it helps me concentrate when I'm driving". Yeah right. How about "I'm a hopeless junkie who'll litter the planet and die early having wasted huge sums on something I don't even enjoy really whilst having st smelling breath........and weaving all over the road."

I have no problem with people who smoke and drive. It's their life choice and if they want to die sooner so be it. Chalk that one up to Charles Darwin. I have issue with those who discard lit cigarettes from moving vehicles without putting them out first. I've put out two fires this year caused by it and had a burn hole in my cycling jacket thanks to some prickhead last year.

I have had my smart phone for three years now and have nothing close to 100 unlocks. Close to 50 I would guess. Mine is definitely outgoing stuff only, otherwise your life is controlled by a piece of plastic, glass and circuitry.

I've worked alongside some that a 100 unlocks a day would be bang on (if a little low in the odd case, nigh on permanently checking their facepalm/ttter/instagib status). I just don't get how anyone can be so hooked on such inconsequential frippery (I've a facebook account but only use it to keep in contact with real friends).

As for sheep worriers today? muppet in a white Skoda Ocativa trying to go straight across at the Rushyford roundabout (a single lane exit) by jumping the queue and hauling up in the right-hand lane (same car that I saw last night on the way home overtake a HGV at the same roundabout as we waited in the queue).

Mondeo man who first cut me up at a roundabout, me in the left lane (dual carriage entrance/exit), then promptly straight lined the roundabout anyway. He then proceeded to haul up behind a truck as they approached the next roundabout overtook him as they entered and pulled back in front of the truck on the other side then at the a689/A1 Wolviston interchange he cut up a Merc that was minding his own business in the right hand lane (to head off down the A19).

Lastly the HGV that positioned himself in the left lane of a roundabout in Hartlepool and promptly indicated right and cut up the two cars in the right hand lane. I can kind of understand his thinking (long vehicle, tight looking roundabout needs extra swing space) but there was no need as equally large HGV's have made it round while sticking to the correct lane. The car drivers could've been a tad more observant but it's not the kind of thing you expect if you're a regular.

The wagon-driving who decided it would be fun to straddle both lanes on a duel carriage-way for no reason other than he though it was funny whilst weaving around dangerously (there were no road works or signs advising him to do so before anybody starts kicking off). Did this for the best part of 2 miles before turning off for his junction, all whilst doing no more than 25-30 mph.

You sir, are an oxygen thief of the highest order. Unfortunately for you my dash cam caught the whole thing, and the evidence will be emailed to your company once I get home tonight.

Fiat Punto this morning held me up on low limit dual track doing speed limit in overtaking lane (right hand) not overtaking, at times inside lane was going faster. Stayed right hand lanes all the way to the roundabout then tailgate car in front hold them up and goes 3 lanes across to the left at the last minute.

To the tarmac-coloured Audi: please have the decency to put some lights on. Any lights will do. Just let us know you are out there as you suddenly appeared and disappeared in a split second en route from Harrogate to Pool bank yesterday. Was like a Klingon bird of prey decloaking...

And this foggy dark morning - to the cyclist with no lights and no hi-vis: please, please recognise that we can't see you until very nearly too late. I almost spilt my cereal all over my lap I had to swerve so hard... (joke, obv, but I did mistype my status update on Facecrack as a result)

I don't hate DRL's with a vengeance, I hate the society where DRL's are necessary with a vengeance. Why can't people just think, and accept the responsibilities that come with piloting a 2t lump of (normally) silver or grey metal?

A right pair this morning and this before we even hit the fog, which was quite impressive really, blue sky and sun then other end of the A689 south of Sedgefield just a wall of grey. First up the plonker in the white van towing what looked like a small generator stopped dead on what was a free flowing road to let a couple of vans out of a side road (this on the A689 between the A1 and Sedgefield). I saw it coming and managed a nice clean stop, the guy behind me didn't and did a rather sharpish stop and two cars back a K. Hewitt van (nutters in themselves) damn near swerved fully into the opposing lane to avoid rear ending the car in front of him (ended up alongside in the end).

The second was the stupid tart in the white A5 a hundred meters up the road where it opens up into a dual carriage section before hitting a roundabout. The two vans (with trailers) that had been let out take the right hand lane to head off right on the roundabout, the A5 thought she'd get ahead and nip in to the right hand lane. Slight drawback was the two vans that had been let out, I kept back a bit slowing as she slowed then she dropped the speed well off and I was alongside her.

You can see it coming really, next thing she just pulls back across without even looking. A blast of the horn didn't even get a reaction from her, not a wobble of the car, touch of brakes, nothing, utterly oblivious to the world around her, I swear I saw her fiddling with her hair as she moved across.
