The Official 2015 Bahrain Grand Prix Thread **Spoilers**

Brundle suggested that Vettel maybe had a battery problem, as he was slow off the corners, James Allison said not after the race, maybe there was something that got missed on telemetry.
Updates from Ted's notebook:
Lotus think Pastor would have finished P7. They aren't too happy with him as they say he stalled the car in the pits, brakes overheated, car wouldn't restart and he went out.
STR aren't sure what caused Sainz's problem, originally though to be a loose wheel they were looking in to it could have been "something" at the back of the car.
Verstappen's problem was electrical.
And Williams were having lamb curry for tea

This. Kimi is a demon when he's happy with the car. He showed that last weekend, when he was faster than Vettel for much of the race albeit losing out through Seb having pit stop priority.
Agreed plus he will always be there at the end he hardly ever makes a mistake and races very fair/clean a class act in any car ( remember what he achieved on his come back in that Renault ?)Crafty_ said:

Teams are very hot on the data side and obviously have many people monitoring the telemetry at the track, so I doubt Brundle spotted something on the TV feed that the team hadn't seen in the data - and in any case if the driver thought there was an issue he'd make the team very aware of it. They're usually pretty good at noticing stuff.Really enjoyed the race but was left frustrated by the BBC coverage. I could watch it on sky but choose to watch it on the BBC when they have a live race as I normally prefer their coverage but...
Yesterday they cut short the coverage at the end of quali, interviews etc to go to 22 boys kicking a pigs bladder and today they stopped short for mastermind WTF?

I absolutely love this sort of comment, especially when you see it after the race.
- To be fair it did look like they had got it all wrong half way through. It is nice to see Ferrari doing well but in a strange way it is actually making the championship less competitive because they are taking points from a sub-par Nico but not fast enough to realistically challenge Hamilton.
Hope Ferrari can find another few tenths then we will have a serious 3/4 way fight at every race.

It's pretty obvious they cut back the power on both of the Torro Rosso's just to survive this race....Verstappen's problem was electrical.

Poor old Ferrari. They try and nuke KR's race to promote Vettel, then Vettel spends half of it off the track, leaving KR compromised to pick up the baton.
If they'd supported KR throughout he might just have win today.
How did you get that? The race I saw, Ferrari pretty much attacked Merc all the way with both their drivers, sacrificing Vettel to take down Rosberg by Raikkonen (and how! spectacular!). Vettel played it great from a team perspective, if he hadn't tried the suboptimal (to Ferrari), aggressive undercut to Rosberg (twice!), who knows even Rosberg might have survived a scare. Let's not forget, Ferrari nearly managed to get two birds with one stone on the first stop with Hamilton's lead nearly down to nothing. If they'd supported KR throughout he might just have win today.

That was a fun race. Some great scraps again through the field.
Can't help but think if Kimi had pitted two laps earlier he would have won that.
Rosberg had a groundhog day, must have wondered how many times he had to overtake a Ferrari...
Nah...I think Lewis controlled it from start to finish again. Could open up a gap whenever he wanted. Can't help but think if Kimi had pitted two laps earlier he would have won that.

But with the late brake problems who knows.

I don't think that's fair. Given his position, to pit him and change stratagey with tyres was a good option, certainly beats sticking to Follow the guy in front in the same car, you're pretty certain to be stuck with status quo that way. Hints tight is wonderful and with that view they could have pitted 2-3 laps sooner for his last set of sorts, but I certainly don't think they were trying to sabotage his race to ensure Vettel best him.If they'd supported KR throughout he might just have win today.

just catching up with the coverage from BBC today.
Apologies if this has already been mentioned but EJ is a fan of The Big Bang Theory isnt he? Howard's dad? With the skinny jeans and the loud shirts?
Also EJ said 'It's always fascinating to see somebody coming from the back, but I'm more interested in the front'
DC's almost biting his hand to stop himself laughing.
