Help With RS3 Specification
Discussion
Just putting together the spec of an RS3 and would appreciate if anyone can help with some info
My spec so far is:
RS3 Sportback £39,995.00
0E Mythos Black £550.00
QI Black with contrast rock grey stitching
5MY 3D Black Inlays
C8H 19" 5 arm rotor design in galvanized silver
WB4 Technology pack featuring Audi Connect £1,795.00
2H7 Magnetic ride with sports suspension £995.00
PAH High gloss black styling package £695.00
9VS Bang & Olufsen sound system £750.00
3S2 Black roof rails £250.00
6FA Exterior mirror housing in body colour £125.00
KA2 Reversing camera £275.00
PCE Driver assistance package £705.00
£46,135.00
1. Can anyone shed any light on if the mag ride is worthwhile?
2. Is the pan roof going to be considered a must have?.
3. Is the phone box any good? surely bluetooth is standard?
They don't give you a lot fitted as standard these days!!
Thanks

It's not a popular option, in this country at least. If you can get a drive on a magride car vs one without that would be ideal, but good luck finding a dealer with a magride car! I believe it's a bit better with than without, but I've not experienced it myself, and the cost to benefit ratio seems poor. theplumber said:

Probably not; not massively popular on existing A3/S3 models, seems to be a personal preference thing.theplumber said:

Utterly pointless. It's a box for your phone, for £300-ish quid. Supposed to give some signal boosting, but not necessary; phones work fine in cars without. Bluetooth is standard of course as is a charging socket in the armrest compartment.theplumber said:
Thanks for info Flibble,
I definitely wont go for the phone box or pan roof, think I may add the super sport seats... I'm amazed the buckets were not an option for this vehicle..
Anyone out there have any experience with the mag ride?
No buckets on current S3 either, most strange. I definitely wont go for the phone box or pan roof, think I may add the super sport seats... I'm amazed the buckets were not an option for this vehicle..

Drop the mag ride and switch the B&O to the Audi sound system, I chose the Audi one over the B&O system and it's really a damm good system.
Super sports seats are nice and add desirability on resale. You dont need the phone box - infact don't bother with it.
The SD nav is also pretty good - depends if you want to justify that much extra on the High res screen, in my opinion it wasn't worth it.

Depending on how long you plan on keeping the car, any chance to buy inclusive servicing, or extended warranty is good. The 5 year warranty is £545, which is good value IMHO - even if you only keep the car 18 months, the warranty is transferable, making it more attractive when it comes to re-sale value.

Where are you getting the prices from? Is it the german site?
Is there a uk actual release date?

i would add the comfort and sound package, it adds :
Auto-dimming rear view-mirror
Bang & Olufsen sound system
Cruise control
Interior lighting package
Light and rain sensor
Windscreen with sunband and acoustic glass
drivers assistant package, ide be annoyed if i bought a 50k car and it didnt have auto lights.
also the dynamic package is only £500 more than mag ride and includes a sports exhaust
also add auto folding mirrors
