As the title says really. I know of a few 7-11's in outlying villages but just can't remember if there's any decent sized supermarkets open.

Someone should really get all these sorts of questions together and write some sort of guide for Le Mans...

IIRC Lowdrag confirmed last year that the Carrefour Market at Mulsanne corner opens on a Sunday, in general it's well worth going there rather than the big Carrefour at Centre Sud, everything you need (food & drink wise), and far quicker to get round.

The bakery next to that Carrefour does a decent coffee+croussant with tables outside on the Monday morning for the drive home too.

Is that "ouverture exceptionnelle"? It's not shown as opening on Sundays normally. I can remember it having longer hours on Thursday and Friday, so perhaps it does for the Le Mans 24H weekend.

They sell frozen bottled water too.

Have me wondering now. Pretty sure it is open, but not as sure as I was. Perhaps someone else will confirm....

there is a Carrefour open on Rue de Laigne on Sunday, if you go past the museum/main entrance heading into Le Mans its about a mile on your left.
Tried Super U in Arnage last couple of years and has never been open....

Yes, there is a Carrefour "City" here 231 Laigne St, Le mans (Like a Tescos express). Open 7 days a week but reduced opening hours on a Sunday smile

If you are standing outside the main entrance of the Circuit facing the museum and entrance turn to your Left and walk under the bridge then Keep walking. Its a fair walk along the road past the crematorium but eventually the supermarket will appear on the left hand side of the road. Its good for wine, bread, cheese, and ham smile What more do you need.....Oh, Toilet rolls too biggrin

As the only supermarket we use I can't ever recall it having been open on a Sunday
