How much noise when hitting ruts/bumps is "normal"?
Discussion
Hi all,
I'm probably being paranoid here but I'm curious - when I hit bumps or ruts in the road (generally I try to avoid them!) - things like expansion joints and whatnot, the noise kind of reverberates through the car. It's not the sound of worn bushings or metal on metal but it's just the sort of dull thud that you get when the noise is transmitted through the tyres and suspension...
I guess I'm asking if this sort of noise varies in volume between different cars with varying NVH, and that if all of the suspension components are tight and worn out and not clonking, that there's not a problem?
Cheers!
