E61 CD casette stuck - help

Hi all,

The multi cd casette in the glovebox appear to be stuck on my car. I dont use it but it keeps hunting for cds (its empty) all the time and the sound does become rather annoying after a while. It simply refuses to eject..
Any suggestions good people?

Disconnect the power cable?
