Not many std cars can hit 200 GPS.
Even fewer in this country legally.
All of them super exotic, and way more than £50k
Depends what you mean by "std". The E60 M5s we are talking about have a 155mph limiter, so removing that is turning it into a non standard car, but it's not a mechanical change of any sort.

The E60+ M5's use GPS for their speedo by the way.
Remapping isn't usually a mechanical change either.
On an E60 M5, the only ways to increase the peak power substantially are forced induction or cams.
The base engine is already pretty highly strung, and making it rev higher isn't feasible (reliably) without mechanical changes.

Fuelling can be altered, but at WOT and peak revs it's already giving everything.

I didn't know that, what do they do in a tunnel? Guess?
The same as a built in sat nav: revert to the VSS signal.

Yes, sorry I wasn't really clear, I was meaning mapping on a forced-induction car like the rs6 where it can make a huge difference.

A remapped Mercedes Benz C63 sub £30k remapped will crack 200mph as per my old one on the Autobahn.

If you've got any change left out of that £50,000 then I'd recommend buying some of these and sorting that syrup out! laugh

As a slight aside, MRC have a tuned Audi S4 that seems to crack the 200 barrier at VMAX days (see their video) but I wonder how much the conversion cost on top of a 2.7 S4...???
Bloody amusing though, being able to see off most other vehicles on the road in something that resembles an aged repmobile.....

I thought it was up to £50k... the bentley was £54k?

I have a 600BHP Nissan GT-R, cost less than £40k, over 200mph and 0-60 under 3 seconds, made to handle on the race track so would leave the Bentley, and most any other super cars behind... and it looks good (black edition in black)

Yep... a Datsun that leaves most Ferraris, Lambos and Porsche behind

I like the fact that the Bentley has the same steering wheel buttons and controls as my Skoda Superb 3.6 estate tongue out

I do like Bentleys, but I'd rather get an old school TurboR for around 12k and spend £8k getting it up to 200mph potential.

Then holiday on Necker for a week with the change biggrin
