Very first episode shown on ITV3 this afternoon. Quite a thought that it was made nearly 30 years ago when John Thaw was 45.

I can't believe John Thaw was 45 in the first episode (I mean I know he was). But 45 ?

He was in his early 30s in the Sweeney. He always looked old.
