Never been to this before, but looking for something car-related to do this weekend. Is it any good?

I always enjoy it. You will see some top class cars on display. You may also see some insanely fast cars driven well. You will almost definitely see some fast and not so fast cars driven by total muppets careering off into Armco at camp and Quarry.

If you are going, the Speed Camera vans are out in force and there are some stupid limits designed to catch you out. Especially the villages where it is easy pickings.

Great show, although it's a modified car show, it's track focused so there won't be too much Max Power tripe on show.

If you've not been before, it's a must. Great to see old MG V8s on track with Evos etc

I have a couple of discounted gate entry tickets available. £15 on the gate, £8 from me. Can still get in first class post.

And its been resurfaced the hump up avon rise has been flattened so braking points are a little later but apparently its a lot more grippy in the wet apart from camp as that still has the old circuit tarmac as not all the circuit was done.

Still good day out lots of clubs attending i'll be there in a matt black scooby wagon as alway!

I don't think the hump is much changed if at all, as it was a prime characteristic of the track. It's the bumps that no longer exist.

Apparently it removes some of the fear factor and makes you feel as if you can take it faster, which could potentially prove costly to those who try!

Looking forward to the day smile

I would have a look at some recent track videos as a lot has been resurfaced.

I was told that some regulating of Avon rise was completed taking out some of the hump and the irregularities around tower.

I'm driving at 10.45am and 11.45a tomorrow so can report back. The wobble going over Avon Rise at 110mph was always fun though biggrin Sometimes the wobble meant my braking for quarry was a little late, but it's all good biggrin

I still have a couple of gate entry tickets going cheap. If you can meet me J17 M4 at 8am tomorrow, you can get hold of them. smile

Not a bad day, minimal accidents, and lots of fun!

Skoda Yeti on track with a 500+Bhp Audi TT engine was mind boggling!

Thank you for the info and for those that offered cheap tickets! Unfortunately something came up so I was unable to attend, but hope those that went had a good day.
Cheers.

That was a skoda nutter mate of mine. He's gone a bit crazy on that Yeti. Bought a dealer warranted TT-RS for the running gear. biggrin

There is a film on Youtube of it from the inside. It is properly fast monstering many quick cars and when it comes on boost it certainly shifts quicker than any 4x4 mum wagon should, worth a look

Believe he still owns two - both R32 I think, although one might have gone recently.

Another reason I avoid the mixed sessions biggrin

Not going to find a random stuck fiesta broadside on camp corner....

No, probably not. But still a risk of a crash, as it's technically a track day.

A lot of people hate the action day sessions, but I really like them smile In many ways more fun than an open pit day.

I presume you went out in the Briskoda session?

Yeah, I organise and partake in the skoda sessions. Very nice - everyone points the correct direction biggrin Although saying that I followed one yellow Octavia vRS through the Esses, and he ended up getting lift off oversteer and pointing the wrong way on the grass heading out the chicane! biggrin
