I was not planning to get one for anther 3 years or so when I reach a " significant" birthday

However with the current favourable exchange rate I am thinking of ordering one now so for all of you who gave already got one are you still really pleased with it? Any downsides?

surely unless you are going to pay up front or buy the currency now, you wont be able to predict the rate at the time of delivery.

True. But I would pay 50% now and then the balance in cash on collection so I can buy all the Euros I need now.

You'd probably need to discuss with Dirk about different payment terms. Unless it's changed since I ordered mine it's 25% deposit and then 75% one week before shipping

I am getting a 99.1 but I am still unsure of the exact specification.

I have been looking at one for ages but I do think that with the uncertainty the election might bring that the exchange rate might take a dive so I have paid a large deposit.................without a lot of thought about spec. Maybe a blue dial...

I can't afford the gold version but I do like that dial. Thanks for posting that. Dirk has told me that he needs to know my dial choice by October to keep the May 2016 collection date so thats plenty of time to dither!

Having taken delivery of my Regulator in Jan I have nothing but positive things to say.

The whole buying experience was special. If you can, I would highly recommend a trip to Kalbe. Dirk and Anja are lovely people and took us on a tour of the workshop and showed us the different stages of the watch making process even demonstrating some of the processes like Geneva stripes etc. Also got a chance to handle various timepieces in all manner of specifications which really helped the spec decisions - trust me I have not seen any pictures that do these watches justice compared to having one in your hands!

As per previous poster I couldn't decide on the strap colour and ended up with 3! And don't get me started on the engraving....

Great choice. Enjoy
