Hello people,

After a bit of help here please (i have posted on SF.org as well in Euro section)

Right, so after reading several different threads on SF.org/NASIOC and watching various different YouTube videos, i decided to order the necessary parts from America and ordered this;

as it seemed easier to replace the Xmas tree than the unit.

So come the weekend i decided to fit it, took the TMIC off (bit of oil in it and the Y-Pipe is all dirty) and alas couldnt find it. Bit of Youtubing and looking at the Opposed Force drawing

I figured out where it was. So i went to have a look again, removing the TMIC is easy now (lol) and low and behold, my tree is completely different to the item i brought (though it says its compatible on Ebay).

Having looked at the above parts diagram again, i noticed theres something that looks like the PCV valve that bolts directly into the 'spider' (i dont know what its called), is that case for me?

Im guessing ill have to remove the horizontal pipe (just above the brown plug) to gain access to it;

Or am i looking in the wrong location?

If it is where i now think it is, i take it i can remove the PCV from the plastic housing ive purchased and use that instead? Or will i need to buy another PCV and sell my one (no point sending it back to America and net result would be £10 refund).

Also, do the one from Saab/Volvo(?) fit ours?

Thanks

cant help.. but I would have been VERY wary of buying anything emmisions related from accross the pond, as the systems can be very different.
Could you not have found the part from within EU... are were you just finding info from the US based web sites?

It was a mixture of everything on tracking down the parts with comments from UK/USA people but admittedly didnt think of the different emissions.

I did speak to a Subaru dealer in the UK but the part number they gave me, when googled came up with everything in Russian. ]

Im sure the PCV valve is where i think it is and just needing confirmation i guess along with stripping out the other pcv valve
