Hi,

I have just bought a bmw 3 series 320i auto and the both rear tyre need replacing soon.

The current front tyres are avon and rear are flaken.

Please could you advise which would be the besttyre we should replace.

I searched few good ones on etyres and found Michelin Energy Saver plus and

Michelin Primacy 3,Bridgestone.

How much are you willing to spend?

I'm a fan of the decent mid-range brands so would suggest something from Kumho, Hankook, Vredestein and the like.

You won't be getting Michelin Primacy or Bridgestone for £50-60 a corner, you'll only get ditch-finders at that price

i checked the michelin engery saver for bmw and they were 58.99 at camskill

and i checked at forumla autocenters they were 76 with fitting and bridgestone also similar price.

which brand of these would last longer would be mainly used for local driving in town.

Unfortunately tyres only serve one purpose in my book, keeping you out of an accident by good grip, I personally don't do cheap or energy efficient, I buy the best I can, which currently means Conti sport contact 5, Goodyear eagle f1 assymetric 2, or Pirelli p zero.

Why don't you just buy two Avons to match?

BMWs don't like mis matched tyres, the traction can flicker and the back end can snap. Although on a 320i I you'll be fine.

My favourite at the moment is the Goodyear EfficientGrip, comfy, quiet, great MPG and a good price.

Michelin energy and primacy are fine. Good grip in the dry and wet, and also wear extremely well. I ran them for 8 years and 160k - no problems. Recommended. Not used them but hankooks are apparently good (according f30 bimmer ) and should be cheaper alternative.

I went for Michellin energy saver Greex X(oem) tyres from F1 autocenters.

On there web site there is price match option and i was getting for 71£ fitted from blackcricles

I sent the email to them they price matched it and gave 10% discount on it.

Plus i got around 4 quid cash back from qudico for booking through there website.

Michellin had fuel offer too and i will be getting 10 quid fuel card...
