After years of watch buying has anyone ever had a complete cleansing and started all over again?

I seem to only wear the same watch or occasionally swap and do not understand why, maybe I have lost the love. For example I have a beautiful Zenith striking 10th with a bracelet, rubber and leather straps and never wear it. It seems a shame.

Or is it a cyclical thing and the enthusiasm will return.

That felt like therapy getting it off my chest!

Not with watches. I don't have that many and the ones I would get rid of are £10 watches. However with records and trainers I have. I have boxes and boxes of Nikes and 1000's of records. I realised I tend to wear the same few trainers 99% of the time when I'm not in work shoes and all these unworn random colour ways were just taking up space. Same with records. I was on mailing lists back in the day and was sent all types of stuff to play by labels. Again lost of things played once and never again.

G Shock owners frequently have sell offs....when you have 20-30 watches all costing around £80-110 each it is pretty simple to sell and start again. a big market for older G Shocks.

I need a Swap Shop, much easier than derisory dealer offers.

Dear Noel, could I swap a Patek Nautilus, and a Zenith Striking 10th for a Lotus Elise...

I'm down to one watch, the SDc4000. Perfect watch and to be honest I've lost my interest in buying any more apart from an infrequent bout of insanity when I see Zenith Pilot big dates...

I've gone from 20ish watches down to 5. Much better, they all get worn.

Where would be the best place to sell some watches? I'm not a member of TZ and can't be bothered to go through the palaver of 50 posts as I'm not really into the technical side of things. I just buy what i like.

I have a 2013 SS Daytona, a Breitling Emergency and a Novitmer 125th anniversary amongst a few others (Hamilton, Damasko, GP etc) so an eclectic mix. Is there somewhere that can do SOR?

Apologies for thread drift/hijack OP but I'm in a similar boat smile

I really need to - 70+ pieces, only half of them worn.
