207CC: Alternative Roof hydraulic motor option ?

Dear All,
Please excuse this rather vague query
BUT
My 5 year old 207CC has a jammed (Garage technical definition) Hydraulic motor in the boot which controls the opening and closing of the roof.
They have quoted €1500 for the part alone. I am still reeling from shock at having an engine seal replaced last year for €1400.
Is there no end to this money pit or does someone know where I can get a reasonably-priced part ?
