Do any of you have any tips how to start learning how to do your own Re-maps? I know you can have it done professionally but they tend to charge extraordinary amounts for the software! I've had a look online without any success. Nobody seems to want to give any tips.

They are not charging for the software. They are charging for the hours and hours of labour that goes into a decent calibration and the cost of the rolling road or dyno cell to do it in.

Read/get a copy of Dave Walkers book on Engine Management.
Covers basics and comes with a CD to do some playing with.
