I don't think these have the in-built solder ring that was mentioned earlier (just in case you were expecting this to be the case).

ETA. You need these http://www.autoelectricsupplies.co.uk/product/926/...
Good idea if they work. Could be a mess if you cock it up though. You'd need a good hot air gun too i'd have thought.

You can just do it with a soldering iron, lighter or even a hair dryer

Oh ye of little faith !clap

No fuses blown and here's a pic

It's a great bit of kit . No exposed wires , very little cutting , great instructions .
Looks very oem but smaller .
Lucky I had the colonel , he sorted it even though I did try my best to sabotage him ...

Why cutting, the graves one doesn't require this.

That's a nice backside you have there but am a little concerned that you let the Colonel play with it!

Any thoughts on changing the exhaust?

There was an R1 pulled into the dealers for first service while I sorted a deal out fitted with the Ti akrapovic (engraved/etched rather than a sticker) and it sounded good - deep without being too loud or offensive and far quieter than the similar akrapovic fitted to my current RSV4.

Looked at the Graves offering and it looks st as does the Arrow can.

Is it the Yamaha accessory tidy you've fitted above?

Et tu, Brutus? ;-)

It could have been done without cutting I think, but the instructions are very clear about it. They also like adding bullet connectors in, but we kept the std yamaha block connectors and soldered / heat shrink plastic-ed. I think the reason is feeding the block connectors through small holes might be difficult.

All in all, Doomster has an unbelievably tidy tail now!.

I had a good look around at different solutions . I wanted something that would look pretty oem , not have exposed wires , proper build quality etc and decided on this eveoteck performance solution .
The only cutting is near a switch , you cut cut , thread through and reattach . It's very very neat . Absolutely nothing exposed to the elements , borderline over engineered for a tail tidy if I'm honest .

I looked at the graves one too and didn't like it . It's not a yamaha tail tidy it's made by evo tech performance . The evo tech performance item I finally decided on is a much more elegant solution to both in my opinion .
You have to see the quality to believe it . It's a great bit of kit .
Evo tech were great to deal with too l very frimedly and it arrived SOONER than they said . The quality is second to none , even the packaging and pdf instructions were brilliant . I can't sing their praises loud enough .
I know it's only a tail tidy but It really finishes the bike .

As for exhaust , at a later stage I'd like to fit the akrapovic end can you refer to and colonel posted the picture of above . Sounds great , looks lovely and won't have any issues getting on track / driving neighbours insane .
I'm not familiar with the arrow solution.
