It was probably the rolling burnout I did before you got there. They didn't seem too impressed. wink
I'd be impressed if you managed a rolling burnout in a Forester wink

Exactly! It's about as likely as someone seeing us speeding through Stowmarket.smile

A few years ago OH was driving my Megane in a 30 limit doing 28mph and I was following him in the Lotus also doing 28mph. A woman was standing at the side of the road ignored OH saw me and she started to wave her arms to get me to slow down, why oh why?????? So yes I waved at her or not, ha, ha.

As others have said taking down car numbers at speed, wow they must have been to a certain opticians or not!!!

Car makes and reg plates can be taken from a parked car in a car park ..............

The moral of this is, we all need dash cams.

Can't agree more about how the current legislation allows people to complain about you driving a car with too loud a paintscheme or clashing windscreen wipers....however...dash cams........NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Lets just hand the police all the evidence they need to prosecute you/the people you are driving with/someone else getting a move on/etc. without them having to do a thing....

Just a personal opinion but I think the rise of the dashcam is merely to fill in the gap in proper policing caused by cuts and the rise of the bloody speed camera....bring back the actual copper who can make a rational and informed decision on what we were really doing not how we are perceived by the uninformed or biased.

very surprised about the letters. i reguarly drive around the area in my "quiet, blend into the background" car with no problems from local police. The ones i have encountered normally smile and put their hand up or give an approving nod of the head.

maybe due to us taking over a large portion of the Carpark on a Sunday morning has upset some of the blue rinse brigade from the area?! Police then have to follow up on the complaints and go through the procedural motions.

New meeting point for next year Mark / Darren. Think the industrial estate i posted earlier in the week would be best, keeps the groups away from built up areas and away from a public carpark.

I have on occasion stopped and asked said arm wavers what the matter was and if they were OK. They never seem to have a real answer

I think we will always get people like this. I've just been to the luxury motor show with scd and on the way out there wa a woman filming the cars, waving her arms in anger at every car that went past. A Lamborghini countach drove by at 40 (60 zone) and she still was furious! Maybe it just looks like its speeding !!!

Don’t know the name of the road, but I think the concerned member of public may have been at the pedestrian crossing on the road before the roundabout where we made a right turn. Although the lights were green there was a female with a child on the left, who from a distance looked as if they were about to cross – that is until she turned my way with mobile phone if front of face as if taking pictures or video. Might not be her, but it seems a bit of a coincidence.

cheers

Im guessing that was on Navigation Approach heading up the hill (just after the Bridge over the railway line) to the roundabout to turn right onto Gun Cotton Way?

If so that stretch of road has had a few accidents along it (involving cars and pedestrians) and is a hot spot for mobile speed cameras and sitting patrol cars.

You would be correct - photographs were supplied to Police of the last 3 or 4 cars in convoy by a pedestrian in fear for their safety..........

The question isn't how the report got filed, the question is, with the evidence you supplied of a false accusation will the flag be removed from the vehicles?

The flag has not been applied to any vehicles - it's a warning shot across the bows

However discussion centers now around this quote "Police are not commenting on the accuracy of the information raised by the complainant and that is why no further action will be taken."

So basically it's fine for anyone to complain about anything and a letter is gonna get sent and there is no investigation into the complaint - guilty until proven innocent - funny how the rule of law is interpreted differently in Suffolk

I'm still formulating my reply as getting the wording right is proving freaking difficult but anyone near to Needham Market fancy a little assignement as I'd really like to put the ball on the other foot so to speak?
